You're welcome

Thanks .. Reserved 2 of them - great price for having some as a backup. And added bonus of 2 free water bottles for next term at school ;-)

need one of these for the 360 for pro evo!

Anyone know what the quality is like in comparable to the official dual shock controllers.

You won't be able to tell the differance...they are exactly the same just with the etching on the centre and packaging themed to ''Pro Evo 6''

Nice one

Worth £3 for an extra controller

Voted hot .
Well worth £3

Just for the record, they are not the same. This is not an official Sony product and not an official Sony dualshock controller. Its just a cash in which clearly failed at £20!

Although still a bargain at £3

I've just collected the two I'd reserved. (They were in the wire baskets in the line to the till, so no waiting at all)

They seem pretty good actually. And have 2 extra buttons on which I've not seen on the original Sony ones ... one says slow, the other turbo. (Maybe they're on the Sony ones and I've not seen 'em )

According to the box in summary:
Slow mode: push to slow the motion in the game, press again to exit slow mode

Turbo mode:
Style1 - Standard
1 - press and hold turbo button
2 - press the button you want to assign turbo to 1 time. The button you programmed will act as turbo anytime you press it

Style2 - Automatic
1 - press and hold turbo button
2 - press the button you want to assign turbo to 2 times. The button you programmed will act as turbo without being pressed

There's also a button underneath called clear. Probably resets it to default?

The bottle too looks of good decent quality. I've seen similar bottles in other stores around the £2 mark. It wouldnt surprise me if my kids rave about the bottles more than having a new set of controllers :-D

Worth the money in my books. I'll give them a test run tonight. If you don't hear anything more from me then you can assume they're top notch ... if not, you lot will be the 1st to know.

FYI - Bottle and controller come in the same box as standard

Cheers... T

Thanks for all that extra info RFC1795  Really useful!

Wouldnt be suprised if all the slow button did was pause/unpause the game quickly.

And no these buttons arent on the official pads as slow is relatively useful and turbo is considered cheating in some games.

I had one thrown in with a game a year or so ago. IMO these pads a completly pants.

You cant beat an original dual shock 2, especially when playin PES6 - As Samuel L Jackson says "Accept no substitue"

agreed - ps2 controller all the way, any others are junk!

I am trying my best not to be disrespectful here, however are you saying that from experience or (at the risk of being flamed alive) are you just being a fanboy?

Please don't take offence, as i'm only asking as I have two reserved for my kids.

3rd party pads are in the main, pretty rubbish. But at £2.99, if your kids aren't too demanding of them, you'll probably be OK.

I'm sure Argos will swap or exchange if the d-pad falls off or anything.

I had the kids test the controllers last night. Ok, they're only 6 and 8 years old, but you'd have thought I'd bought them a PS3 the way they were carrying on about them hehe. And as expected, the bottle stole a lot of the limelight for a while there ... myself too am impressed with the bottle. It has a removable spongy type ball which will come in handy on outings that turn boring for them ;-)

Anyhow, as to the quality and performance... I recon they're A-ok .. and for that price if they last a year then I dont mind at all. Also, I'd rather have the kids and their friends using them ones than the official ones with their sometimes grubby paws.

No offence taken...i'm no fan boy for sure. My next console will be the Xbox360 Elite. My opinion is deffo through experience.

Through all the different games i've played since owning a playstation i've found that there is no other pas available that compares to the originals.

Sony were taken to court over the dual-shock pads and lost. The had to cough up quite a bit... ]http//ww…273
