There are a few around but are they really worth it ?

Bare in mind this bench has a maximum user weight of 110kg or 17.5 stone. This INCLUDES weight you are lifting. So, if you are say 80kg-ish and benching just 15kg per side you will max this bench out...

4 in Bristol.

reserved 1 thanks

I've got one similar to this (York Bench) from Argos, and considering I bought that a while back for 30 quid, this is an awesome deal!

really wanting one of these for home. mainly for db work wen i cant get to the gym. am abit worried about the weight limit now tho

As one of the reviewers said, with the weight restrictions it's basically for beginners.

Still a great price though. Hot from me.

a good piont!!! but will it really break? its must be well strong!

One left in Hoddesdon and two left in Cheshunt.

1 left in Speke, South Liverpool

1 review says its only tac welded not fully welded so it wont be as strong or something. anyway im 13 and a half stone and with the weights id like to use im gonna give it a miss.

was 4 left in bristol when i reserved and if anyone wants my reserve number for the bristol galleries just leave me a msg

I personally wouldn't want metal weights above my face when the welds like this break.

Perfect for a lot of women tho

I've ordered it to use for sit ups, the main appeal being the ability to hold my ankles in place. I don't intend to use it with weights as I'd soon break it!

this bench is a flimsy piece of **** and its only got 3 positions , not upright , id even go as far to say its dangerous ,stay away

I noticed this yesterday, I was lucky enough to reserve it in my local store. I also noticed another bench too for a similar price, which I also ordered. COuld anyone advise which one is better.

I agree, it's potentially dangerous unless you know what you are doing. I would not be working out on this on my own with weights/bars above my head either. Ok for situps, but not worth the risk if you are trying to improve your lifts.

you're right. the bench doesnt go upright which was annoying for a utility bench. but i used a chair for that. but it did the rest & was & is still a very stirdy bench.

you're right I used this and altogether the combined weight was 111kg...it broke and left me crippled. Before I had beautiful biceps and delicious deltoids now I struggle to lift a spoon to my mouth to feed myself.

that goes to anyone in any gyms. in LA fitness or a home GYM. you'll hurt yourself if dont know what you're doing. i see people oing to LA fitness with their mates & trying to show off with big weights & can hardly push 4 reps. I'll only lift weight I know i can push 15 reps on.

that saying I bought this bench for use with dumbells mainly as they can be put away into closet after use. but did use it for barbell too every now & then.

Of course, it depends on what sort of training you're doing but I'd venture to say if you can do 15 reps of any weight, then it's probably not heavy enough.

Reserved thanks, will see if my fella wants it when he gets home, if not its in Rochdale if anyone wants it ....it was the last one

Thanks

if the average person weighs 70-80kg then thats 30-40kg more weight you can push. the 110KG is maximum user weight which is alot. i think 15-20kg (each hand) dumbels are more than enough for home workout.

Hilarious.

15-20kg is barely a warm up set =p

i think its ok for average person to dumpell press 15-20kg per arm. not everyone wants tobe a muscle freak. they just want to tone up & get in shape. I got for higher reps then weight myself

i have this bench, had it for over 6 months now. I'm 105kgs, i use this for incline db pressing 30-40 kg either side, never felt it feel like it was gonna break. I never really listen to the max user weights etc. But don't know if the production has chnged on this, because mine is seam welded and not just tacked

its definitely welded unlike the cheap york ones

Gents - your all fogetting one arm bench curls - perfect for this as I bought one! 110kg arm curl will last sometime and for £15 its worth it - nothing like £50 worth though.

If your further interested I also just bought a mid-range bench which will take 270kg for £80 (was £149) from Argos....
