'Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned' follows The Prodigy's hugely successful 1997 release, 'The Fat Of The Land'. Stripping back the rock sound of the previous album and ditching the vocal talents of Maxim and Keith Flint, Liam Howlett goes back to basics mixing dirty electro, hip hop, and nu-school breaks. Guest vocals come from actress Juliette Lewis, legendary rapper Kool Keith, and also Oasis' Gallagher brothers to name but a few.

Picking up where Ministry and Nine Inch Nails left off, the Prodigy were a force to be reckoned with; a punk band in spirit, few electronic dance-rock band pushed the boundaries and rocked as viciously as The Prodigy did. The outfit slowly built a solid following throughout the 1990s, until 1996's MUSIC FOR THE JILTED GENERATION caught the eye of Madonna's Maverick Records. Their 1997 record, FAT OF THE LAND, was a breakout smash, buoyed by MTV's placing "Firestarter" on continuous loop. The Prodigy ignited a minor controversy with the video for "Smack My Bitch Up," which MTV eventually played despite full frontal nudity and massive drug use. While a touch of overhype spawned backlash, their core fans remained loyal through recordings into the next decade.

Actually, its 'Mu Mu Land' :geek:

haha:p

Their latest album sounds like the new pendulum album, nothing like experience or jilted generation which were fantastic.

I thought those were sheep so was trying to be clever - failed badly - need me eyes testing

as for the other CD's - 100% agree

He managed 4 (5?) albums before making a dud. Most other bands only manage 2 and the third is a dud.

Not their best album - but still a good price, and only bad by Prodigy standards - still a good (if not great) album IMO.

Hot.

I'm with JA, much better then the new one...

Boys Noize & KLF & Prodigy in the same topic

I like this album and the new album equally.

Rubbish album..seen the error of his ways and got keith and maxim back to produce another GREAT album.

This is actually my favorite Prodigy album, not as commercial as Fat Of The Land, more progressive than Invaders Must Die. I damn wish it was this price when I got it...
