£17.50 for 3pc set 16,18 and 20

These pans are great, 18/10 stainless steel and well-made. Bought two three pan sets as gifts. Tempted to get myself some if I can find them at my store!

whats the inside of the pans coated with? looks like that tefal garbage

The 16, 18 and 20cm pans are definitely stainless steel inside. The milk pan and saute pans (which I have) are the only ones in this range that have a non-stick coating.

All I will say is that I was so impressed with the two pan sets I bought (for my sister's housewarming and brother's wedding) that I got my own. The reviews on Tesco's website speak for themselves

tesco.com/dir…prd
tesco.com/dir…100

Just as examples but there's still a few online. Going to try to get to my local Tesco Extra later.

I've had a set of these pans ( bought individually) for over 5 years... absolutely fantastic cookware. highly recommend

thats a shame

they was in the clearance section but had white labels on like normal price tag, just at those low prices.

Did the items scanning full price look exactly like the images above?

Looks like Tesco has renewed the Professional range from copper bottom to full copper outer.

May explain the discount but none in mine unfortunately.

Thanks op. Bought a sauté pan, wok and frying pan today in Broadstairs. Items were all mixed in with the other professional go cook pan range but copper bottomed ones scanned at the prices stated in original post.

Thanks, that's a shame. We switched a few months ago from Gas to make the hob safer for Jnr. So far other than increased pan prices it's a massive improvement for us.

We had them at school years ago. The pans there were mostly the old thick aluminium pans from like the 60s cos most pans dont work on em. Guessing it reacts with the steel

Is the saute pan ok to use inside an oven?

Is the saute pan ok to use inside an oven?

I haven't used it this way, to be honest, just simple frying and stir frying. One review says: "It's all metal so you can brown on the stove top then launch it into the oven to finish off...." tesco.com/dir…prd 2 (though the saute pan definitely has a non-stick interior).

Only downside is that these copper pans, typical of 18/10 pans, are heavier than cheaper alternatives, but they keep their shine and are more resilient (which is why 18/10 stainless cutlery/pans have a longer guarantee).

Thanks OP. This wild goose went and got himself the gander...

Purchase of milk at same time as milk pan was purely coincidental.

So this lot cost me £35, but would have cost £120 on Tesco Direct, excluding the milk pan which currently is unavailable.

Aha nice one good job getting the frying pans to

Tip: always use the price checking machine, never assume the shelf label is right. In Spytty only the one in the seasonal aisle is currently working, the one by the DVDs is dead. Bit of a walk to check, but worth it.

There was one 20cm pan left at Spytty, though this had the card sleeve ripped off from underneath and the base was slightly scratched. I think unfortunately that's also the bit of the card with the barcode, so will probably be a bit of an **** to get them to find the right code etc.

Harlech retail park store (Cardiff road) I went to also, but came away empty handed. They had two frying pans, think they were the 30cm ones, in one of those cage things. They had a full set of price labels for these pans on top as if they were about to put them on the shelves tonight. Could only see the two frying pans though. Might be off there again tomorrow or will maybe explore the stores in Cardiff. I'd be looking for them to give as Christmas presents.

They also had a shed load of Jamie Oliver pans which I suspect are also around 75% off, but they're less of a good deal. Anything with his face on is overpriced junk in the first place.

BTW at Spytty Rd Tesco I want to take the 30cm frying pan and sort out those boy racers that antisocially populate the car park and play football there.

They dont have any price checker things in my local, i dont think so at least

They used to have them in the Netto store though before it changed to an Asda in the takeover. Should be standard in big supermarkets atleast

You did well sir.

I'm a bit confused about this price checking machine. i don;t really shop at Tesco's

when i phoned cardiff road earlier, the lady physically went and checked prices of the stuff on the shelf. and it was full price and her attitude was 'oh theyll be the same in spytty too anyway' after i mentioned should i phone them, her attitude was annoying enough

then when spytty's customer service said 'not taking calls due to the game Destiny'

well that was it.

it goes to show you can't count on phoning the store anymore and expecting employee's to help you out at all. go and have a look around

I think a lot of the time they'd just look at the label compared to scanning items to double check. Bought many things that have gone through at different prices, especially in clearance sales

If the price checkers are there, they're rarely guaranteed to work. Often they're in a state of disrepair, and at times of massive bargains they've been known to disable them because people scan everything and then dump it by the price checker. I do not believe any of the price checkers in Cardiff Rd have ever worked (if there are in fact any left). Also it said 24 hours outside, but they claimed to be closing at midnight over the tannoy?! I think Cardiff Rd will be worth a visit tomorrow if it isn't too far out of your way and a frying pan is enough

I'd never bother to phone them personally. Had this dismissive attitude enough on the phone before to learn Also increases the risk they'll figure out it's a bargain and tip off other staff.
