The Limited Edition Car Pack:

McLaren F1: Featuring a central driver seating position and butterfly doors, the McLaren F1 has a lightweight, streamlined body hiding an engine capable of 240mph and a 0-60 time of just over 3 seconds. To this day it remains one of the fastest production cars ever made.

Sauber C9: With a top speed of 248mph, the Sauber C9 was a Group C Prototype that still holds one of the fastest records at Le Mans. In the 1989 season it won all but one race of the World Championship making it a dominant force on the track and an aspirational legend.

BMW M1 ProCar: During its years participating in a bespoke one-make series, Group 4 events, and various national series, the M1 Procar saw many legendary drivers such as Niki Lauda and Nelson Piquet behind the wheel and even a custom paint job by visionary artist Andy Warhol.

Mercedes-AMG C-Class Coupé DTM: With its predecessor being the most successful car in the 28-year history of DTM, the AMG C-Class Coupé is a stronger, safer machine built on a naturally-aspirated V8 engine and incorporating larger wheels and a huge rear wing to make it one of the most competitive cars running in DTM today.

1967 Ford Mk IV: Winner of both the 1967 Le Mans 24H and Sebring 12H, and driven by legendary driver Mario Andretti, the Mk IV was ahead of its time breaking new technical ground that has influenced car construction through to the modern day where it still holds the record of being the only American car to have ever won the classic endurance race.

I have a i3, 16gb ram and a GTX750 attached to a 40" 4k tv (running at 60hz) and cannot get this to run faster than snails pace in a window running at 720p. All specs say it should run, not full graphics of course, but no luck changing any of the options. GT5/6 on my PS3 looks way better and actually runs.

Wanted to use the T150 I bought thanks to HUKD.

Arrrr.... must resist offers..... does not compute.....

arrr **** it I need this obviously lol

It's a very CPU intensive game. Your i3 will be there to bottleneck.

I had this running on a 860k with no problems.

Heat added.

What's the difference between this and the GOTY edition?

Hi

Is the GOTY version just an addon, or does it include the full game + the extra cars for PC?

No, it contains the full game + all the DLC. It's £ 22.99 on the same site. cdkeys.com/pc/…eam

I got i3 cpu as well (i3-3220), 8Gb ram and GTX960 and the bottleneck seems to be the processor. Still, it looks great on my 48" TV. GT6 does not have enough anti-aliasing effect and it looks pretty bad on 48" screen.

Project cars does not have many car manufacturers though that's the thing I don't enjoy it as much as the likes of GT or Forza.

Maybe because the i3 isn't really a CPU that was designed for anything hardcore like gaming. It's a pretty basic entry level CPU.

Dual core CPU for this game is a no-no from what I gather. Also, you're not telling us which i3 you have. Bare in mind there are now seven generations of i3. If we compare the first i3 generation with the current one it gets smashed:

So which i3 do you have? My advise would normally be to flog it on eBay and a buy a second hand i5. Also why do you have 16GB of RAM bundled with a budget CPU and GPU? Seems like a massive waste.

It was a Hackintosh build off a mate. 2nd gen i3 I believe. Got it very cheap, fancied the real estate of the tv/monitor but needed a card that could handle 4k, hence the GTX750. Don't normally play PC games, but got the Thrustmaster cheap and thought I would give it a go.

That's a 950, not a 750. Neither are actually powerful enough to play games at 4K even if they have HDMI 2.0 support, which out of those two only the 950 has.

This game is great in VR.

The game really needs either a good quad core or one of the faster Intel dual cores. AMD just entirely sucks on this game, both CPU and graphics.

Really to get anything worthwhile at 1080p you are going to want at least a quad core intel i5 760 and a GTX670. Bearing in mind this would actually be a seriously aging machine now.

I bought the goty edition on xbox about a month before I got a vr headset (had no plans for it until I tried it out on holiday), keen to play it on vr though so might bite the bullet and just buy it again.

I prefer Assetto Corsa, Project cars runs like crap in VR.

My bad, it's the 950 I have. Great for everything but gaming.

I had major issues getting the force feedback to work correctly on my G29 wheel, bought Asseto Corsa and it feels so much better. I love both games, but for me Asseto Corsa takes the lead (especially when you look at adding mods)
