Junk... I used to work for a security company, theives knew the difference between fakes and real... But when you have something that looks nothing like an alarm, has a bogus brand name and can be researched online - via mobile in seconds... Then found to be a £5 fake... The robbers will be rubbing their hands like Sick Note Michael Owen.... Waste of £5.

Hmmm....a company that seems to specialise in 'dummy' and 'imitation' security products plasters it's name in large letters on them!

Any scumbag worth his (or her!) salt will know them for what they are.

I suppose it ticks the HotUKDeal box at a fiver but is it really worth it? Come on. Never in a million years will these things look convincing enough unless they are 100% identical to the real things!

personally think putting a alarm box up is like putting up a sign telling people you have something worth nicking, putting up a dummy box just says your a cheap skate and your house has no real deterants I'll stick to my German Shepherd

was this an apprentice contestant who thought of sticking the word proper on the front

They say 90% of break ins are made by druggies just looking for a tenner . And 10% by professional thieves . All my money is in they bank and the rest in a safety deposit box . So **** you . Come and take the TV bitch

If you want a dummy box have a look at Friedland Response or Yale on Amazon as these look the same as the real one's

Voted hot, I have 3 of these doted about the apartment and never once been robbed. Such a cheap handy (potentially life saving) device that makes me and my children sleep soundly at night. Cheers for the link as had lost my one to it and want to get a couple more for putting around the garage area as got all my Go-Karts that I really do not want stolen. Do yourself a favour and get 4-6 of these.

great, somebody stole ours. I 'll replace it with this one.

I use a Nokia 5140 (Do a lot of rock climbing so cant risk a smart phone) and it can barely text.

Not sure why it is so unbelievable that someone has a security deterrent on their apartment either?

Nice idea but looks like it's made by fisher price

There are indeed led light kits available that you can stick in empty alarm boxes that run of a battery!
