6 bottles of prosecco for £25 at Asda - both instore and online. I bought 2 cases instore and have ordered a delivery for later on in the week although it's only showing up on the banner on the Asda groceries website and doesn't have a finish date displayed. Fab bargain for over the Christmas period!

Also available on the Asda Wine Shop website with free delivery!

3% Quidco as well!

More importantly what does it taste like?

If its prosecco it doesn't taste of much, my opinion but I find it very bland. Tasted it many years ago and thought it tasteless and did not bother again until its recent upsurge in popularity. Tasted it again recently, same opinion. OK if you like it, but strikes me as a fashion drink. As I say my opinion.
P's. Cheap enough if you buy the 6 for £25.

It's absolutely fine. Quite dry but I like it dry. Nothing wrong with it at all!

True!
Much rather have cava, cava has some character. That said at this price prosecco is good for mixing.

Prosecco is generally "the next step up" from Cava, before you hit champagne.

If you prefer cava over prosecco then you're a cheap date
This is my favourite! It's very nice. It's better than £9 Champagne! Bargain.
Getting back to the reason why people post on hot UK deals, the offer and money saving, good post, thank you!
sound as a pound for £4!
Was going to go out this weekend a buy a couple of bottles of the £10 prosecco from M&S, but thinking I could be tempted for this one now!
It's no longer showing as 6 for 25 now...

It is on the Asda wine shop website where there is free delivery. Its also showing on the banner on the Asda groceries website but just doesn't seem to be showing when you add the bottles to your basket.

Looks like it's there for me? I'm on mobile but it's clearly stated. Here's a link to all the 6 for £25 bottles
Showing this price in basket but jumping back up at checkout
Still £25 for me
Ordered, thanks

As I remember prosecco is made in a truly industrial way, prosecco is no way 'the next step up'. As I say fine if you like it, much rather have something with more character, which is what you get if something is given its bubbles over time in a bottle, rather than in a tank. Money does not mean quality, its marketing, whoever managed to get prosecco going over here deserves a raise.

You are entirely correct - Spanish Cava is made by the traditional Champagne method while Italian Prosecco is mostly made by the charmat method, where the second fermentation takes place in a large tank. I know which I prefer and it's not prosecco...

As long as you're both blonde & easy, why not !
Can be arranged! Better be cava, or preferably champagne.
Speaking for myself obviously!

Thanks op. I think this no longer works for me on the main asda site, but managed to get some on the asda wine site with free delivery and poss 3% tcb if it works. A bottle of fizz for the price of a pint down the pub can't be bad, even if it's not methode champegnoise. Mix Prosecco plus Campari plus a dash of soda water for a ten quid venetian spritzer.

Bull!!!! Cava is made by the same method as Champagne "méthode traditionelle" Cava can be great, its not a step down. Prosecco is nothing like it.

If you order from Asda Wine it works fine - I bought 4 cases for £100 a couple of weeks ago and collected instore in edinburgh.
These were £4 each last year. Bought 6 for Xmas, but wife finished them off in no time.

Not sure how you can make a generic statement about prosecco like that. Sounds like a pretentious statement to me because it's not champagne. It's a bit like saying all champagne or all wines taste the same.

weird statement. Prosecco isn't really a step up from cavalier and below champagne. Prosecco is an alternative to champagne, cheaper too. It's the Italian champagne, just like any other country they can't call it champagne

Cheers for that, thought I'd missed out last night but can confirm it worked this morning on wines website. Whether you like it or not is personal taste but I know my Mrs will be delighted at that price

No, its because every prosecco I've tasted - in the usual price band £6-£10- has tasted very similar, probably due to its production methods. Hardly pretentious!

In Scotland you don't need to buy 6...it's £4.17 a bottle!
think this has expired - had them in my basked then the price went up!
I ordered some this morning from the Asda wine website
I tried a bottle of this last night and I wasn't impressed. I'm not a fan of overly dry fizz and this is extra dry, it tasted pretty bland too. I'm glad I didn't go for the £25 case deal.
