anyone found any anywhere else?

No more standby?

I thought these devices need to be on standby mode, while they wait for signals from the remote control.

I think it means as in your freeview box won't be on standby anymore.

Ok, I see!

I wonder how much is the electricity costs to have one of these plugged in 24/7 x 365 days a year.

Somebody I know had a monitoring device on ther power useage and they claim that turning everything off of standby made no difference to their power consumption. Not sure how it can make no difference myself as I'm sure there would be some reduction, even if it was a negligible amount. You wouldn't need to save much power to make your £3.75 investment back though so voted hot.

Alot less than having your tv, audio, sky box, console, freeview box, pc, monitor, speakers, printer etc all on various extension leads.

I've just brought two of these from Tesco's for £20 not thinking they would be any cheaper DOH. Will take them back and get these ones instead. I also should of researched a bit as i presumed they would work with my Harmony 885 but i now know they won't, obviously lol. Still they do have a place in the home. Plug the 6 way extension in to one of these and you'll certainly receive a benefit.

Just remember to work out which need to be on at all times such as cordless phones and the sky box if you wish to get the updates and Anytime through the night. Then just swith them to a seperate socket or extension lead.

Looks cheap, but very good price. Well-done CCS

Chef_uk I agree, I have two that are linked to my floor lamp, and they so useful I don’t have to get to two different power sockets to turn them off. I know that is lazy but why not

Voted cold as I bought 3 sets of these from Wilkis last October and had to take all 3 sets back as the switch in the sockets kept going faulty it was as if the switch on the plugs inside just went so there were on all the time. Very cheap quality would not recommend. I bought the Bye Bye sets from currys and have my whole house run by them on one remote and have had no problems in 6 months its lovely to get into bed then just switch them all off and has saved me at least £5 a week on electric...................... Morphias

just paid £6 for these at wilkinsons chester le street a week ago seem to work ok for me.Hot

But it's not lazy. Technology is there to help us all. I would say 99% of wall sockets are hidden away at a height that requires severe bending to get to them. Yes you can bend the proper way but if a 42" telly is in the way it kind of makes it impossible to do so. For that reason alone these save more than just electricity.

oh i forgot to say they were marked up at £14.99 + half price sticker but went through till at £3.75

Picked up a pack from Neath store - marked up as £14.99 with 75% off marked price. Went through at £3.75.

About 10 packs left in Neath this afternoon.

Picked up these at the banbury store today, shelf labels said £14.99, scanned at £3.75. Work great. Thanks for the deal

got 2 packs of these the other day (now sold out at my local store) they do work, but the build quality is a bit naff a couple of the sockets are a bit tempermental (doesn't always switch off etc) but so long as half work these are still decent value IMHO but i doubt they'll last more than a year

Bought one a week ago @ £3.75.

Now today got to till £14.99 to 15pence.

Till girl called the Manager we can do it for £1 each, so got two...Gutted 15pea.....

Damm bargain. Qual tempremental.....! Might get some more for friends.

(Till girl look gleamfull @ the price I think she might nabb them all)

I want to buy
