I have been purchasing some cycling kit in preparation for winter commuting along some unlit roads in the country and have been impressed with the Proviz stuff I have invested in. I have now purchased one of their helmets to complete my glow in the dark ensemble! The helmet is half price off their RRP but looks to be about £10-15 cheaper than ebay etc. the best bit is that it has a built in LED and the helmet is itself high visibility with their stupidly reflective paint.

The code for 15% off is still working too (see vouchers section for that) so you can get 15% off which will cover the postage cost of £2.95.

You also get a free high visibility beanie hat... that will be useful for either yourself or one of the children I'm sure...

Their sales blurb suggests it was Voted #1 in The Independent's "Top 10 Best Cycle Helmets"

Good price, always safer with a helmet. The high vis part is a bonus!

No good for the weekend warrior cyclists they prefer to go incognito like a ninja.
Cheers op. Got one for the long hard winter commute ahead...
Still won't be enough for some of the idiots drivers who frankly shouldn't be driving without their guide dogs in the passenger seat.

So that would be all 15000 of you in the country with photosensitive epilepsy. Can you put some form of warning on your car so I know for future reference?

These team Sky wannabes don't need no Hi Vis. Motorists should be able to see them by the amount of awesomeness they emanate.
Thanks for the tcb reminder and the corporate discount link. I picked up a few extra bits and noticed the nightrider messenger bag comes with the proviz neutron bike lights for free. reached £50 for free delivery, and it is free returns in uk anyway. Cheers!

If my head measures 57cm, do I go for Medium or Large?
Ordered, great price.

Had to pay £3.50 postage though and got this message after ordering "We apologise, but there is an error while adding free items to the cart: The requested quantity for "Proviz Under Helmet Head Warmer" is not available."
So I'm not sure if I'm getting the head warmer or not!

Or perhaps us "weekend warriors" do wear plenty of Hi Viz through the winter when we are out putting in the hard miles in shi*ty weather training for the next racing season.

I also strobe the f**k out of drivers. Ensures they give me plenty of room at night. As it happens, they tend to give me much more space than they do during daylight hours which is a bonus.

My personal advice about any cycle helmet is go and try one on rather than relying on measuring your head and picking the one from the web site which matches. When I was updating my helmet I bought several online based on my head size, but when I tried them on they just did not fit, not because they where the wrong size but because the shape of head they where designed to fit did not match mine.

In the end I got one from a well known cycle shop (not Halfords) after trying various makes on. Remember the helmet should not only be the right size but it should also 'fit', i.e. not slop around front to back or left to right, and also must be comfortable.

Good price however if it fits you.

how do you measure yourself for a helmet?
You can either use a flexible measuring tape (which tailors use) OR make use some string and then wrap it round your head and measure the length of the string.

Many thanks, great price. In readiness for the dark winter nights I have ordered one for myself and my daughter. Discount code worked as well as a further 10.5% discount with TCB.
Cheers OP.

Ordered one for commuting.

It's tools like you that give cyclists a bad name

And it's tools like you who give internet forums a bad vibe.
The original comment was obviously tongue in cheek, as was my reply.
By the way, for your information, I drive more than I cycle. I'm bi-transportational, I see it from both sides.

My free under helmet warmer is missing.
I have contacted them asking about the head warmers and they have told me that they are currently out of stock, but they will send it when they are back in stock in 2 weeks.

I've actually only just noticed that the supplied batteries are dead, or the rear led light is not working...
Bought one. Lights don't work, and visor cannot be removed once fitted. I removed it and it snapped. Good price but poor quality, with hindsight.

Mine, too.

Quite tempted to email them and say that while they are shipping the hat that was supposed to be included they can throw in a couple of batteries too.
Provez Mars is available for £23.96 on ebay. Only have the yellow one so think i will get the deal regardless as prefer black to use during summer and day

Not sure the difference between mars and mercury and proviz

I ended up emailing them to change the address the hat is to be shipped to, and mentioned about the batteries in the LED light being dead.

Today a complete new headband with new batteries turned up.

Thanks Proviz, excellent customer service!

Also the helmet is fantastic, exceeded my expectations! I've been using it to cycle to work (21 miles each way, we have showers) and I arrive at work with hardly any sweat on my forehead. Were as with the previous helmet (a specialized one) I used to turn up with drenched hair.
