Yes it's very different. The main game mode in FIFA is Ultimate Team. A pay to win or if you have an obscene amount of time to sink into it, a massive grindfest of a game mode. It's heavily manipulated to ensure you constantly need to be refreshing your squad with better players. All of a sudden those special players that were banging in hat tricks for you struggle to hit the target. It's just really contrived and then unlike PS Plus, every year it gets reset. So every hour and penny you've sunk into the mode goes to waste.
Source: Someone who wasted way too many days and nights grinding the UT league's for packs. I was good at it too but man, I had a problem. My life is better without it.

Halo has micro transactions, all the 2k games. GTA, they are everywhere. EA do shady stuff buy they are far from alone. At least they keep them to the Ultimate team modes which hold no interest for me. Other games they’ve invaded other modes. EA are no longer the worst of the bunch.

Has efootball got all the international teams in? My brother and I normally play through an entire World Cup/Euros on PES before the real thing but its all a bit of a mess this year!

I have at the weekend.. However I play offline with only 9nteams and 5 minute games that's not good enough unfortunately. And I've been pes since it was called Iss in 98. Pes 2021 with updated transfers is good enough for now I guess
Your save game is on your console. You can uninstall the current version you have, then install the digital version and pick back up your save data - I did the same when they made Rocket League free.
eFootball has been improved massively with the latest patch. Still barebones but on pitch the gameplay is so much better.... give it a another try.

About fifa 22, the ps4 version is a MUCH better version of the game, atleast for online play - coming from someone whos lived on it since release and played mostly on the ps5 version
