Thanks to PoserDude for the original Sainsburys deal for the Vita Slim.

Just picked up this in my local Sainsbury's in Preston. Definitely a good deal if you aren't bothered about having the new slim model.

The better version with an adequately sized card and two of its best games?

Awesome deal and heat added. May be a 'release the geese' deal though.

OLED screen in original console is far better than newest version.

Seems a decent enough price for everything. Have some heat

The software and "gaming experience" is exactly the same. The old one looks nicer physically, has better construction and has a better screen. The new one has better battery life. They're the only differences. I'd rather have the old one any day since I'm perfectly happy with its battery life already.

Had both and prefer the new as it's quite a bit lighter, more comfortable to hold and the USB charging port is way more convenient. Old one looks better but I've been well impressed with the battery life on the new

I prefer the older because of the screen and I charge mine via USB, I use the proprietary USB cable connected to a Satechi Ucharger, this charges the unit just fine from any USB input rather than needing the data rail and +5V. In fact the Ucharger is brilliant for all devices that only normally charge that way.

Nice find. Although the PS Vita has been £99 at HMV with Black ops in the past the addition of the 16GB card (£24.88) makes this a bargain. :-)

HOT as this is great price. I had the same model with 64gb card but just didn't play it enough. There are a lot of good games but I still felt and still do feel it needs more regular big game releases that are optimized for it.Indie games a good an all but..... I now have the Shield Tablet and controller. Bulkier yes but I can stream from PC, play all emulators etc but again other than Half Life needs some big game K1 optimized releases.

The Frome store had one box out on display yesterday but selling the console only for £99.99. No extras.

If it's anything like the PSP then it would be played it for a month or two then collect dust in a drawer for the rest of it's life.

Either model worth it at this price. I've got both models. The screen's do differ but I prefer PS4 remote play on the slim as the touch area on the back is smaller (on the oled version the whole back panel is touch and it's hard to hold the vita without touching the back). As for the games there is A TON of great games for Vita. I've got way more great games than I could fit on a 64gb card. Right now enjoying Danganronpa, Y's, Resogun, Freedom Wars, P4 etc etc etc. 3rd party support is also looking pretty good for 2015 too. Vita is far from over...good time to get one IMO.
