Aww thanks chuck! :-) I've just bought one! I need to stay off this site. It's bad for my bank balance!

I bought one of these the other week. Really good value for such a good handheld.

I bought the PS Vita Slim with Lego Mega pack last week for the same price at Asda.
Just not too sure whether this one is a PS Vita Slim or the OLED one...

I'd have bought this if it was the physical games. I have no idea why but I still prefer the feel of the game in hand...

Is this the newer model?

No problem. And let me give you a quick rundown on the differences.

The older model had a better screen, better build quality and just feels more premium.

The newer model has slightly better buttons, is lighter (original isn't heavy at all though) is a bit more comfortable to hold, has a better battery and has 1gb of internal memory, and also has a micro usb charger but of course doesn't feel as premium and has a worse screen (but not by a lot)

I'd get the older model purely for the screen and quality of it. The newer one does have nice aspects like what I've mentioned above but for me they're not really a great deal better to make me want one.

Thank you so much,i had the original one but it got water damaged but before that was very happy with the battery life and everything about it.Like you said the new features are not that much of a deal breaker on the newer vita so will look to pick up the older version when i get some money lol

That's no problem at all, and if you already had an old Vita and you were happy with it then yeah I'd recommend getting another old model if possible. All I'd take from the new slim model is the comfort and buttons, but I wouldn't sacrifice the screen and premium feel for that.

I've cancelled my order from Asda and bought the same thing but with 3G and 16GB from Game.co.uk for £134.99. :-)

See earlier comments, I personally have seen them side by side and much prefer the OLED (this) version, much richer colours and brightness.

cheers!!will get 1 at this price!!

I managed to pick this up for £104 on Tuesday from Amazon warehouse. Great deal, came with "scuffed box" but everything was brand new, came with a 16gb card as well.

The only issue was the code missing for the game, but I did an online chat and they refunded me £15. Choose free delivery andit still came next day! It's also the 3g/WiFi pled version. Still quite a few listed if anyone is still looking for one.

Think its gone now mate, next best is this:

hotukdeals.com/dea…779

I actually got the Vita slim yesterday (And still own existing OLED model)

I think I prefer the slim, the comfort holding it, the better shoulder buttons all realy help in game play.
As for the screen... Honestly I like both. I think OLED is better in some cases, and LCD is better in others. OLED can produce more vivid colours, but in some cases, they seem too oversaturated. This is all based on opinion really though. You also really have to see the LCD in person to get an idea, online comparisons don't really work.

I do agree the OLED version is the more "Premium" model though. I think it looks the best and the OLED screen (Though also bad in some cases). I really like owning both, but I think I prefer the Slim model, for comfortability most of all, and the screen isnt really as bad as the internet makes it out to be.
