PS VITA Slim & 16gb LEGO games pack £144.99 @ smyths toys

The best priced ps vita I could find plus the 16gb version of the lego games pack which has the following games in it.
1. Batman LEGO
2. Batman 2 DC superheros LEGO
3. Harry Potter years 5 - 7 LEGO
4. Indiana Jones Original Adventures LEGO
5. Star Wars III LEGO
6. Pirates of the Caribbean LEGO

it is the slim ps vita but reviews are still good and whilst you may lose screen resolution you gain far better battery life which is essential :-)

the memory card size concerned me however I've downloaded all 6 lego games and only used about a third of the 16gb card.

there is an 8gb version but smyths give you the 16gb just check though in case they change it.

Cheers M

Wi-Fi?

yes wi-fi, think the new vita slim is only available in wi-fi only version.

Pls, my wallet
I'm dying to get a Vita, haha. Good price :]

Expecting a vita price drop announcement at E3. Gonna wait to see what happens

Hi just to confirm, do you get a 16GB memory card + the lego megapack (in voucher form or pre-installed)?, because it's not clear on the website. Thanks in advance

as far as I know it needs to be downloaded would like a vita but like smashingk says price drop expected plus heard the screen on new vita not as cracky as the first ones and expect price drop on them as well so could pick up a bargain in a month or so

oh just to point out free express delivery so next day heat added

3% TCB and Quidco, so this brings it down to nealry £140... hot from me

Just got my lad a vita slim...I was amazed how good the screen was. Would prefer the slim with its longer battery life and standard usb charging over the standard any day.

Heat added. I'm tempted to go and fetch one as I want to upgrade from my normal vita and the Lego games are a bonus!!

It's a memory card and a voucher code that adds the games to your PSN account.

So now the Slim has made its way to EU shores?

Sony's E3 conference is 12 hours away, an extra day won't kill you.

You get a little pack with a voucher code to redeem on PSN and a 16gb Vita memory card, so yes you need to download once you redeem code. Good thing is you wont fill the card even if you download all 6 games

I get why some would wait, but is the price drop likely to be more than £30 and even then would it include 6 games....on average the PS Vita Slim is retailing around £170 - £180 there are a few which are a little cheaper, however that doesnt include any game in many cases or a memory card, so a saving on the console plus a decent memory card and 6 playable games is worth a punt....PS i dont work for Smyths not trying to drive their yearly sales figures just think it's a worthwhile risk on balance.

Sony have made their announcements but it hasn't had a price effect on their existing consoles has it? I may go and get this later this afternoon.

edit: Just gave in and purchased it with 3% cashback from TCB on top.

I've seen nothing about a Vita price change, so looks like it stays as it is for now.

Oh well, I've bought this now anyway, cheaper than Amazon and will come in handy when Minecraft is released for it.

I'm a sony fan but just haven't managed to cave on getting a vita yet. I have a ps4, but would you guys recommend getting one? I played on my flatmates and initially I struggled with the sticks, is it something you get used to, or an acquired taste? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

I have a PS4 and PS Vita and it's great they work together the ps4 link function works well but I would say takes some getting used to as button configuration is obviously different. in saying that the function is really cool playing a ps4 game on the vita is a useful alternative to continue a gaming session when you can't keep using the TV for whatever reason. For its own games the sticks are fine but I would agree take some getting used to. personally I held off on getting a vita for ages but I'm really enjoying it so far. PS Plus is going to get you uncharted too which is really good :-) hope this helps, I would buy one, in fact I did ;-)

Mine arrived yesterday. It was a 16gb memory card and so far I'm happy with the unit. The screen really isn't as bad as everyone says and the new design is much better.

Hot. I've just bought 1 from Walsall store after breaking my day 1 Vita. I've gotta this version and can't really see what all the problems with the screen is about. I haven't juxtaposed them yet but I can see battery being a great bonus, also it feels better in your hands even if it looks cheaper.

agreed, it's a decent unit at a good price think the screen change isn't that bad on balance after having used the console for a week.

Good deal - picked up new vita (2003) and lego pack from Longton store this week.

Might be worth holding onto the lego codes until after July if plan on selling pack and keeping 16gb card - Lego Batman 2 on free vita game with PS plus

How much can I sell the game code and 16gb memory card for? Seperate
