I've not ordered from Argos on ebay before so no idea what they consider 'refurb' but its £120 for the next cheapest used Vita slim anyway B.I.N and somewhere like CEX offers £93 trade minimum so looks a good price to me!

Good price. heat added

With Sony admitting the Vita won’t be seeing many/any major releases from now on probably best trying to pick these up as cheap as possible..
best as a companion now for the ps4 and the flurry of indie games.

The vita has loads if games in the pipeline! Freedom wars is triple A and looks just that, too

Pleased I could help. I've been looking into a Vita myself but no idea if i should be getting the slim or the old style one

I'm so very tempted to pick one of these up, but can't think of enough games to justify the purchase. Great price though, heat from me!

All sold out

Go for the original one if you can. The OLED screen is beautiful and the console overall just feels heavier and better built.

True on both accounts, I think from now on it depends why type of games you're in to. For me personally Anime/JRPG's are not my thing at all but for those that like that kind of thing there seems to be many in the pipeline/released. Same again for indie titles.

I'm more into the Western games but doubt we'll see anymore Need for Speeds, Assassin Creeds, Uncharteds, Killzones etc, nor see any God of Wars, infamous', GTA, Bioshock vita specific games at all. I hope I'm completely wrong but Sony's way forward is pretty clear with the Vita now.

Quite a shame considering the PSP had these types of games in abundance. Games like Pursuit Force, Syphon Filter, Burnout, DiRT, PES, Midnight Club, Motorstorm Arctic Edge, Medal of Honor, GTA Liberty City & Vice City Stories, Tomb Raider, GoW, Killzone Liberation, MGS Peace Walker, Gran Turismo etc and some with sequels.

Apparently there around 150 being worked on/near release here: neogaf.com/for…508 and not even a handful probably interest me.

I swear TGS is there final chance PERIOD or else I'm gonna give up all hope on the Vita. Seriously look at it!! Such an ambitious piece of hardware, over 2 years old but still has some fantastic specs, dual analog sticks, the gorgeous OLED screen and all those other nifty features but Sony seem like they are embarrased to promote it or something.

How can you release this thing, rave about it a bit then completely tout it as just being this 'thing that streams PS4 games'. Yeah good but the device itself sorta needs games too LOL. Shame that Freedom Wars and the upcoming Gravity Daze sequels will probably be the last of its breed in terms of decent high profile/AAA games. Sort it out Sony!

I Agree. I watched the Gamescom conference waiting for the possible few minutes show time for the Vita and was pretty appalled at the end of it that it didn't even get a mention and it actually lost an exclusive in Tearaway. I know PS4 is their main thing and priority at the moment but 5 minutes wouldn't have done any harm

I've just gone from an OLED to Slim Vita, and now i'm selling my OLED model. Having owned and played an OLED for some time, I 'got over' the screen difference very quickly.

The benefits are great, a system which is slimmer and lighter, more comfortable, has better battery life and charges via micro USB. My phone, ps4, xbone pads etc all charge via micro USB and it's nice not to have another proprietary charging cable.

Admittedly, the difference isn't a cut and dry sigificant improvement like that of the DS Lite, but I hope it helps you in that an OLED Vita owner considers it an upgrade. I had my feet under the table of the OLED Vita and am more than happy with the new model. I recognise it may be seen as a 'questionable upgrade' by OLED owners given the cost, but if your going in fresh, it's an easy choice.

Well between you and me I think Sony have a very 'warped' idea of priority! You said it yourself, no acknowledgement whatsoever of it and I'm getting really sick of Sony's poor marketing schemes (or lack thereof).

In all honesty they should have made a FAR better effort to hold onto the Monster Hunter 'exclusivity' because that alone would have boosted sales right there. Because without it the PSP would have probably faired a lot worse although to be fair it had plenty of games for it anyway.

Really useful to hear that. I made someone an offer on here for an OLED based on generally positive reviews but think i'll end up getting the thinner one.

Don't go for anything smaller than the 16GB card. They fill much quicker than you'd think! The best deals are usually game Mega Pack bundles which include a memory card. I managed to get my 16GB card including 10 games for £20 delivered in one of the clearance sales from TheGameCollection. Selling off the game code on ebay will also save you a bit extra.

can't really find any good deals for the memory cards.

sucks sony use proprietary cards, real downside to the whole console.

don't want to be lug multiple cards around either but may have to. I'm thinking 2x16GB cards or one 32GB card should be sufficient.

what size is the average game?

e.g. how many games can a 16GB hold on average obviously as i know different games are different sizes.
