Tesco bundle is a good deal, but if you are on a budget and have lots of ps plus games, you could get this and an 8gb memory card for about £115 total to make use of the ps plus games. Not a bad deal.

I believe that deal expired yesterday as it used a £20 off code which only worked upto 29/09/13.
I got one from cash generators online for £80. It's by no means in perfect condition with a few scratches but for the price can't go wrong. Might be worth a look for those strapped for cash.
Great price. 3G model is pointless, even though I have that version, and this old style with the OLED screen is going to get replaced by the inferior screened LCD model so now is the perfect time to buy.
put it together with this

Anyone avoiding the £39.95 32GB on Amazon for the advertised 2 month wait don't be put off too much, I ordered last Monday and it will be with me this Friday. They sent two emails bumping the delivery estimate nearer each time.

I went for this last time and it's been a great, especially with all the ps+ games I had lined up to play! At the time I had to pay £38 for a 16gb SIM and I've read they're supposed to be getting quite a bit cheaper. But it's been really nice having such a nice handheld.

(SIM on amazon Now down to £24.99)

However, i made the mistake of getting an 8GB card for mine, not enough room for all these free games!

I actually got rid of a PS3 and Vita last year but still had my PS+ running due to a few decent deals on 12 months worth and remembered to keep purchasing the games for both systems via the website and now I've ended up buying both systems back and have too many games to play haha

I agree, I got a 32gb after realising 8gb was not ideal. But as I say, if you are on a tighter budget then it's def do able if you are ok changing games back and forth.
I have never had a PS+ account. Can I just sign up and access lots of PS Vita games? Why have you all had to "put games through the checkout"? Do you get a free game each month and you have to claim it to access it in the future?
I've bought 3 of these consoles from GAME recently, all cheaper deals at the time, price has fluctuated... But all three consoles were in excellent condition and arrived promptly. New generation Vita due out before Xmas (didn't bother me!)

You can't just get PS+ now and have all the games that were on before.

Basically if you have PS+ you get to keep those games you got for free as long as you keep PS+ subscription.

You get free games each month, but if you don't put them through checkout and "Buy" them so to speak, then they are not available once they are removed from PS+.

So as long as you keep your sub going you can access all the previous games you "purchased" (put through checkout at £0 cost).

If you join PS+ therefore, you do not get all the games that have been on PS+ previously, you would only be able to get the ones from this month and those going forward
PS+ in a nutshell, buy now and get access to play 10 games (some PS3 some Vita, some cross platform) every month 5 games get taken off the list and replaced with 5 new ones. As long as you've 'purchased' the games ( for £0 ) when they where available they are now on your account and you can play them as long as you have a current subscription. Therefore you get approx 65 games a year.

Are you able to use loyalty points or credit points from game cards for their online store? I remember a worker informing its one or the other, at that point, but cant remember which. Also it may have changed to allow usage of both now? I have around £70 loyalty and over £100 on credit there, thanks greatly to CEX for forcing game to better trade ins by £1. Just been waiting for the right item to pounce on and as i dont think PS4 will be worth buying till next summer atleas for me, perhaps this is best usage. Thanks in advance
Purchased one of these last time from game preowned, and have to say the condition of my PS Vita was fantastic! Well done to game!

They're sent out in plain white boxes, no instructions or accessories, just the Vita, charger and lead.

Ah cheers, i will probably wait it out till christmas, as i dont exactly need a Vita right now and i could do with playing some more on my 3DS. Also my any future credit i make through cex/game i might have enough for something i truly want, at later date.
this is a great price, I already have one, considerig how expensive the second controller for the PS4 is, you can use it as a standalone or as a second controller with remote play, which is the main reason for my purchase.

according to what I have read using the vita as a second controller and using remote play are distinct, all games will be remote play (able) but it down to developers whether they want to enable the vita as a controller
Just the right price
what does preowned mean? It means second hand ?
Is this older model worth picking up over the new one they are releasing?

The new model has an LCD screen as opposed to the OLED screen that the current model has. The new model also has 1gb of onboard memory so you wouldn't need to buy a memory card if you just want to use the memory for save data whereas with this version you would need to buy a memory card to save your games.

If or when I get a Vita, I would pick an older version up in a heartbeat. OLED > LCD
thank it is not a new console

There are no details on the new one if or when it will be released in the UK

Good deal.

Just have to be careful that its not been battered by its previous owner. I had Game bring out a number of 3DS' until I saw one that was acceptable
Bought a Vita myself the other day, and cant emphasise enough what a great little console it is. Heat.
Picked one of the Tesco deals up (£149 for 3G Vita, 10 Game Code and 8GB Memory Card) and it is a great console. I had the PSP for several years but sold it a few years back. I like the PS+ giving free games which means i already have about 17 games (combined with the 10 pack).

I dont think this is a good deal though. If you bought the 10 game code/8GB card separate they are about £30, which means I got the 3G console brand new for £120 (about £115 after cashback) compared to £100 for a preowned wifi console. Yes the Tesco deal has finished now, but for the last few weeks there has been a constant supply of good prices Vitas (including game for £85 with the 15% voucher), so I would class this as the normal price now.

Dont forget thought, although this is a second hand unit it comes with Game's 12 month warranty, some may argue the Game warranty is better than the manufacturers warrantys e.g a shop bought unit breaks after a few months, the shop are in the right to send it off to Sony to be repaired. A Game warranty will just swap the unit over there and then.
