Seems a pretty poor deal compared to this one.

The 3g is useless as its only for web browsing (which is abysmal on the Vita), and most people have a smartphone capable of tethering, which has no restrictions so you can play online etc.

Decent deal for game and card - Thanks for posting

Phenominal price for a superb console. Fifa plays brilliantly on it and the back touch panel adds some extra enjoyment. Word is, Sonys told retailers to lower prices, if true, i wonder if they'll do what Nintendo did for first time buyers of the 3DS? (Knowing full well that just wont ever happen )

Depends if you want "Uncharted: Golden Abyss" or can actually make use of the 3G capabilities, either now, or in the future.

Again, most people have smartphones. Smartphones have been Skype enabled for years now.

Its another niche feature which will rarely be used outside the home. Afterall, why would someone want to walk around with a tank like the vita in their hand, when they can have a normal sized phone in their pocket for handsfree or up to their ear.

Thanks. I hadn't checked this morning. The figures (above) I collated were from yesterday afternoon.

Good to see this still reducing. Now all it needs is games that would interest me.
Edited by: "Buyt56" 25th Apr 2012

I was madly trying to persuade myself to get one of these when they first came out over here but couldnt bring myself to buy one. It's a fantastic bit of kit when in your hands, stunning screen, great graphics but I just couldn't bring myself to part with the cash. A few things just p1ss me off about it - the whole memory card thing for a start.

This is almost hitting the sweet spot for me though but Im pretty certain it will come down by a further £20-£30 by the tail end of Summer.

Hot price for now though.

What game genres do you like playing?

Ordered my bundle on the 11th of April at the previous price.....Just called amazon now as a friend of mine told me you can get the difference is the price changes within 30days. THe lady told me its not 30 days that it's actually 10 days but she was willing to give me a one time exception and return the difference of £18.04. So if you fall in the same shoes.....visit amazon.co.uk/gp/…564 and give them a ring and argue your case....lol8)

who are you kidding? i love my ps3 but this is a rubbish product in general all the games released were pretty poor minus uncharted, the online servers for fifa were all over the place and laggy as hell, not too mention the graphics weren't what we expected from a handheld that's meant to match the ps3 for power i sold mine within a month........rubbish, if they implemented games from the ps3 by turning your ps3 off swapping to this and gaming on the move like we first thought this could off been amazing, i may buy one again if they ever add this feature but until then i feel ripped off...............rant over

still a good price tho heat added
Edited by: "phatpromotions" 25th Apr 2012

this is cheap lol so i made a decent loss pre ordering price has dropped big time!

i like mine, but it's dropping quicker than i expected. ahh well, that'll teach me for being an 'early adopter'

to think i had to use 270 quid of gamestation vouchers just to get a regular vita, 4gb card and fifa. although id never want the 3g one, definately not what i figured it would mean (ability to play online anywhere and not just in a wifi spot)

i like my vita very much tough, and even though it was a lot of credit, it was really a bunch of old games worth maybe £100.

Does it come with a free rootkit?

think I will wait for the first revision of it, which should be out in a year or 2, not in any hurry for it. Hopefully then the vita might have a much improved battery life, perhaps an SD card slot, more sturdy analogue sticks and a varied game selection. My DSi XL will tide me over until then.

lol @ DSi XL for next 2 years.

How is that funny? Its got a massive back catalogue, with LOADS of games that I have never even played, games are very cheap now, an 18 hour battery life, and built like a tank. Will do me for another year or 2 until the PS vita shows signs of not being another sony hand-held failure.

I think so much depends on how well Call of Duty works on this. If you can get COD working to console level on this it'll sell bucketloads of consoles in the run up to xmas. Even if you utterly hate COD, the knock on effect of the hardware numbers soaring is obvious. With a much bigger customer base, many more companies will be interested in producing games for it.

Should've been clearer - up to 360/PS3 level. The multiplayer in particular is what keeps people playing these games. All they really need to churn out is something akin to a "Modern Warfare 1-3 best of" and it'll do great business. That's what folk want from a handheld - the PS3 experience away from their TV. No need to be revolutionariy, just replicate what has worked in the past - and who does that better than COD (maybe FIFA?).

If everyone holds off it will fail..simple.

The Japanese market should really "take off" with "Monster Hunter Portable 3" & this may prompt other publishers to transpose their large(r) franchises to the new platform.

Back in Europe/the UK, I'm not sure "Little Big Planet" on the new console will help. It's a big investment for just one title that is already available on the PS3 & PSP range. However, when the entire roster of titles is then viewed as a whole it may be a pursuading factor to influence a purchase.

That screenshot is confirmed to be fake. Its a photoshopped image done by someone on 4Chan.

Although Monster Hunter is coming out on Vita, the title still remains under wraps. So we could get a port of MHP3 or MH4. As for Final Fantasy Type 0.. I'm not even sure Square Enix are even bothering to localize the game to release for the west anymore (on PSP or Vita).

So, like I said, upon the Japanese release, the demand for the new console in that local market will increase.

There's no news on Monster Hunter for Vita. It's coming out on 3DS first.

Its a great deal if you're after Mortal Kombat or Rayman.

The other games are pretty worthless at the moment though, some arent worth playing either.
