Was waiting for them to go to £150 new but had to break at this price for Soul Sacrifice and Persona

Not a bad price this as little big planet is worth 15 on its own and the men card is worth a good 5-10 pound

You should check out Gravity Rush too, one of the best vita games out there. Amazing cell shaded graphics and one of the best soundtracks I've heard in recent years.

Plus. If you get ps plus games are added regularly Really good time to get one

Excellent price! As a Vita owner since day one I think now is the best time to pick up the machine. It's really been thriving recently and has built up a very respectable catalogue of games. Plus at this price for the 3G version you can't go wrong. I paid £240 for it for the Wi-fi version with Uncharted and an 8GB memory card at launch. A £70 drop for the better version of the console in little over a year on sale isn't bad at all! Also, I'm not sure if it's still on, but when you register your the 3G console with Vodafone you get a free Wipeout 2048 download code. So you could end up getting two top titles instead of one. Heat!

Can this be used as WiFi only or do you have to get a Sim for it and have to use as 3G??

Is a 4GB card enough?

You don't have to do anything with it, you can use it as a wifi only device if you wish.

You can always plug it in to your pc and using Sony Content Manager transfer any downloadable games or game saves if your card gets full

Depends on what you want to store on there. For example, the digital version of FIFA 13 is 2.9GB and Metal Gear HD is 4GB on its own. If you already have PS Plus or intend to get it, I would suggest that a much bigger card is required.

I wouldn't say so. I've had mine since release and got an 8gb memory card to find out I needed a 16gb memory card. 4GB is a large enough size for saving games and a few small downloads but one full price game downloaded will use all of it. On hotdeals the other day a 32gb card for amazon was on offer for around £55 and you got a free download of fifa 13 (Don't know if the offer is still on).

That's what put me off in the first instance, the cost of the cards.

This is a good deal, but I refuse to buy one until they sort the price of their memory cards out.

That's one hell of a deal.

So they con everyone by forcing unique memory cards which cost a bomb. The 3ds just uses standard SD cards why couldn't the Vita? Dirty Sony

VERY tempted...

I second this ... My initial card was 8Gb and this lasted me well but eventually, thanks to PS Plus, it wasn't enough to cope with the size of download titles from the store.
I'd highly recommend starting out with a 16Gb. I've got one of those as my main card now and use the 8Gb one for all the PS one titles I've got ....

That's the only downside to vita. Is the memory cards. Other than that its a great machine

Not at all. I'm struggling with a 16GB.

When are the decent games due to come out on the Vita?

reserved one. just need to convince the misses!

4gb should last a wile if you buy your games retail. But if you download DLC a lot of buy games from the PSN store then 4gb won't last a week. I have a 16gb card my self and I barely have any room left on it due to PS+.

I had a 3ds up till 3 months ago until I got a vita. It's a true next gen console. Makes the 3ds look very dated, persona 4 & uncharted will beat anything it has to offer. There is a bit of a game drought thou, but I'm looking forward to jak&dax and sly trilogys not to mention ffx

Great deal, unfortunately the Wipeout offer isn't valid anymore. I got my 3G Vita last month and topped it up with a £5 hoping to get the free game but conveniently the offer ran out two weeks before. So just be careful the box makes no mention of that offer running out.

I'm waiting for a Wifi only model to be sub £150, then I'll be buying one, Plus I want the memory stick prices to come down, I already have PS+ and a **** load of games, so 4GB aint gonna cut it for me.

I'd recommend WipEout 2048 for any new adopters - fantastic racer.

Traded in a shedload of DVDs recently and got the Wifi one for £140 second hand a CEX and a 4GB card for £10. I have been on PS+ for a few months, buying the free Vita stuff in case I bought one, and 4GB is no where near enough space. Ordered the 32GB card from Amazon with free Fifa for £55.

£170 for the 3G, game and memory card is a great price - heat added

Not to thread spoil but saw a pre owned vita in cex last night for £128,yes i know its not brand new was impressed with how cheap they have become

Ordered (with the amazon 32Gb card) cheers, got a lot of night shifts coming up lol

Can anyone explain how does downloading games work with PS+ ? Do you have to download them to the PS3 first ?

No, you can do it that way if you want, but it's generally easier to do it straight to your Vita.
