For any HUKDers in Ireland, Gamestop are also doing a PS VR bundle - PS VR Starter Pack + Skyrim / GT Sport - for €300, which isn't too different to the UK deals after shipping costs.

UPDATE: Gamestop are also now offering the same bundles with the Move controllers for €350 (the one I ended up ordering ).

Both still work, I just checked. Scroll to the bottom and select the bundle offer you want.

GT Sport doesn't show up as an offer for the bundle with the Move controllers now for some reason, but if you add it to the basket separately, it still totals £299.

I just thought of checking Skyrim, and that works too :). Just add the items separately to the basket and it'll still come up with the promotional price.

Heat for the deal. On a side note, I have a feeling these are the old units. They are releasing a new vr system in Japan and america shortly.... Hopefully we won't be far behind.
Only difference is, integrated earphones and better connection leads. For me that has a PlayStation 4 pro, leads all compacted into my tv unit and into the wall.... It's absolute a pain in the back side to keep changing leads to play the vr. (basically you can't play 4k hdr on regular leads, without switching the hdmi cable back) not easy for me. Something to think about. Depends on your setup, how easy it is for you to get behind your units and also how often you will play vr.

Aye good to note. I don't have a HDR telly at the mo so I won't have to worry about it yet myself. I can't remember where, but someone linked to a switch that's apparently a good alternative to getting the V2.

I thought in the US the Skyrim bundle was the new unit but the GT sport bundle wasn't? Is there any way we can tell if these are the revised skus?

I didn't know that, will look into it. Suppose you need to see if it's worth the difference in price. Old unit is now dropping in price a lot. Or if you're the type to want to pay more for the slightly better tech.
Suppose most important is the VR image, screen and both are exactly the same.

Look for CUH-ZVR2 on the box. That's the new model number. Like to think a Internet site should advise its the new unit. Otherwise, no mention.... Probably the old one. Can't see anything about it coming to the UK, but it will. Maybe trying to shift the last old units.

Damn it hukd!! Ordered. Cheers OP, convinced myself as I'm working Xmas day that pays for this!!

You think this is the v2 unit? the one that only went on sale in japan a couple of weeks ago? weird if it is (but very cool!) looked around online and that product number does seem to point to it being v2 which has surprised me so much i wrote this comment!

Just need about £200 quids worth of vouchers/codes and i could afford this! Heat for the price.

From conversations on another thread last night, general feeling was these are almost certainly old stock being cleared before the V2 units hit the shelves. This promotional price of £249 is just till 27/11 and is the standard RRP that's been set by Sony for the starter pack (with camera) and either GT Sport or Skyrim. It should be available at most retailers for this or maybe cheaper.

Fixed. Ordered.
Thanks

You guys reckon I should bite now or wait until Black Friday? Like I don't mind waiting but what is the possibility they all sell out at this price?

I just Googled the v2 serial number or how to tell if it's the new one. Be nice if Sony actually clearly stated on the box if it was the new one.
I appreciate it's not a huge difference or change (like PS4 to the pro) but the two bug bears have been fixed. Headphones and most importantly the switching hdmi issues to get 4k hdr on normal games after use.

Guys can someone explain in detail the difference between this version and version 2 ....in simple terms! Also what the issues were for the first version if you're running a normal tv

Great price and PSVR is pretty cool, was much more immersive than I thought it'd be. Saying that I couldn't get over the VR sickness, lasted for days

very.co.uk also have the same deal with also includes BNPL 12 months if you have a credit account or enter LXJQT for 10% off new customers offer which brings it down to £224.99.

There are some cosmetic differences to the V2 headset - earbuds built in to the headset along with the volume and on / off controls and the cabling is slightly redesigned accordingly.

The main difference is the new processor box supports HDR pass through which means if you have a HDR capable TV, you can leave the PSVR connected all the time. Basically the PS4 HDMI plugs into the PSVR processor box and then on to the TV. On the V1 models which don't support HDR pass through, if you want to use HDR from the PS4, you need to unplug the HDMI output from the PSVR and plug it back into the PS4 directly.

If you just have a normal 1080P TV that doesn't support HDR then I wouldn't worry at all. I have a 4K HDR TV and a PS4 Pro so I have to switch cables if I want to see the games in the best quality. You can also pick up a switch box to do this for you for about £15.

Given this is a ridculous price for this bundle, I'd take the little bit of extra hastle. From what I've read elsewhere, the new bundles including he V2 headsets which are due for release in early December will be £349 RRP. This £249 price is only till the 27/11 so most likely to be a stock clearing exercise for the new ones coming along

I was the same, unfortunately. Which is why I had to sell mine on. AMAZING experience though.

Are the earphones in V2 built in? If so, I'm really not liking that idea. What if you want to use your own headphones? What if the included ones break? Can you take them off?

Cracking deal. Even if you don’t like the games they are still £40+ in shops so should fetch a good trade in deal. Add in the move controllers and £299 is the best deal I’ve seen by far. Separate selling price last week was nearly £470!!!

Amazon selling these for £250 right now.

How does this set up

Finally taken the plunge with the Skyrim bundle and move controllers for £300. I see that Amazon is already temporarily out of stock of the skyrim bundle, and they were £20 more expensive with the move controllers.

Fingers crossed Tesco don't **** this one up.

Also picked up Battlezone for £14 on Amazon - again fingers crossed, as that has almost immediately gone back up to £28.

HOT, been waiting for this sort of price, how am I going to explain this to wife, I know Ill tell her its for kids. Nice one -ordered.
