What's it all about?

  • Create up to 100 listings on eBay.co.uk in an eligible category.
  • Listings must start during the promotional period.
  • Listings can be auction-style or fixed price format.
  • The promotion start and end dates are included in the email we send to invited sellers.
  • Item must sell within the first listing period.

Sounds good, where do I find the promotion and how do I sign up?

You can take part in the promotion on eBay.co.uk. Eligible sellers will receive an email with the RSVP link to the offer. You must opt in to the promotion by clicking on this link before any of your 100 listings start.

Anything else I need to know?

You won't pay an insertion fee for each of the 100 listings. Listing upgrade fees will still apply and will be charged according to the eBay fees policy.

For transactions via managed payments, you may be subject to International fees.

The number of listings eligible under this promotion may be less where seller restrictions apply. Click here to learn more about selling allowances.

Who can take part?

  • This Promotion is open to all registered Private Sellers who (a) have been invited to take part, (b) are registered to managed payments, and (c) have actively opted in (“Eligible Sellers”). If you have not registered for managed payments you will be prompted to update your details after you opt-in to the Promotion.
  • Participation is linked to the seller's account and is not transferable.
  • Eligible Sellers’ accounts must meet eBay minimum seller performance standards.
  • Please sign in to My eBay and view your seller standards dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards. The seller standards dashboard is available to all sellers here.
  • If you registered after 15 March 2011 or haven't listed any items for a while, you may have a listing allowance of 10 items per month or of £650 per month, whichever is reached first. You may be able to increase this allowance by providing additional verification.
  • An eligible item previously scheduled to go live during the promotional period will qualify for the promotion only if you have opted in to the promotion before the listing starts.
  • If an item that is eligible for the promotion had previously closed without a successful sale and is re-listed during the promotion period, it will form a part of the 100 listings limit of the promotion.
  • You will not receive a refund of your original insertion fee if the item sells.
  • Listings do not have to successfully sell during the promotional period to be eligible.
  • If an item qualifies for the promotion and when the item sells, the invoice will indicate the fee including the discount. Please note: if the item does not sell the first time and if you relist it after the promotional period or if it is automatically relisted during the promotional period, standard final value fees will be charged according to the eBay fees policy when the relisted item sells.
  • Items that are automatically relisted through the Automatic relist function or the Good 'Till Cancelled function will be charged.
  • Only single quantity listings are eligible.
  • For items listed in 2 or more categories, only the insertion fee for the first category is included. Standard insertion fees will be charged for listing the same item for each additional category, according to the eBay fees policy.
  • Free listings in this promotion do not count towards your monthly 1000 free listings.
  • Your first listing period may vary and is dependent on the listing format you choose (e.g. – auction-style vs buy-it-now), the duration of the listing you choose and the listing experience you use. The first listing period will be considered to have been ended when the listing you create first renews or relists.

I made the mistake of clicking on the new 'Sellers Console' and it's an absolute nightmare and apparently no way to revert back to the old style system... has anyone experienced this and found a way back? Apparently there was an option to go back to the old style system but eBay removed it! I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who found themselves on this new 'Sellers Console' and managed to go back to the old familiar system?

It's clearly expired despite being within the eligible date range............
It says "Expired" if eBay have not offered you the deal. Log into your account/s and whatever deal is available to you will be there.

Guessing it's 70% for me again.

I have not been offered the £1.00 option since 2019 needless to say i do not sell on Ebay anymore.
Where do you sell instead, if you don’t mind me asking

Not had one of these for at least a couple of years.

These ebay "deals" posted don't entitle you to anything - you'll get an email from ebay IF you're eligible before the start date, if not, they won't work.

So they're basically just a reminder to read an email, that gets lots of heat for the op🤦🏻 (same for the 70/80% "deals")
you dont need the email, the link on the email is the same as what's posted. If you're not eligible that won't change
  9. Avatar
Never get these anymore. I've been demoted to the 80% club

    Not eligible warra joke

Yay! First time in ages that this worked for me. Thanks for pointing it out OP.

I always get the email for the 80% and the £1 max selling fees. Whenever I click on the £1 max email it opens eBay and says not eligible invitation only etc etc. Really annoying! Does anyone else have this issue?
I used to get £1 all the time then one time I clicked the 80% by mistake and since then I've lost the £1 selling fees been like that over year.

Unfortunately, you can no longer sign up for this promotional offer because it has expired.

Will try again on Friday, and hopefully it'll work then. Got a few bits I could do with selling so this'd be good!
Probably means you'll have to settle for the 70% or 80% discount offer instead

    Worked for me - thanks

Selling on eBay is nightmare now, sold some trainers , a few months back , discontinued adidas and nikes averaged about £70- £100 about 8 pairs all in all , eBay not releasing my money ( after good feedback on all ) eventually releasing it in dribs and drabs just no point, when you sell you want it in all one go don’t you?
and that was having to ask for it at least 3 times , by phone / chat , it was like begging for my own money horrendous! Never again
You can adjust your own pay out days within the app.

Does anyone know how to open these links straight in your app as opposed to a website and then having to login?
    Settings>Apps>Choose default apps>Opening links
Activate "Opening links in apps" or instead find the only app you want then activate "Open supported links".

It kept saying offer has expired for me, but after trying for 20-30 minutes, it suddenly allowed me the offer.
I don't know if this made any difference, but I did press Update My Details on this page: pages.ebay.co.uk/pro…20/
It still kept saying expired after this, but 15 mins so after, like I say, it just suddenly allowed me access.
    still not working for me

    Have u ever had £1 fees ??
  25. Avatar
not for me again but the 80% worked, usually I only get 70% but haven't sold anything for ages
  26. Avatar
Does this mean if i sell somethibg say for 300 quid i only pay a quid to ebay for their fee???&if i start the auction tomorrow and it lasts 7 days for example does the £1 fee rule still apply in 7 days time?? (edited)

Perfect I have it this time and activated, I have never used this before and done a draft to sell something but have a quick question to make sure I'm doing it right.

At the bottom it says list with display fees and when click blue hyperlink above saying final value fees it says ....

The final value fee is calculated as 12.8% of the total amount of the sale (which includes the item price, postage, taxes and any other applicable fees), plus a fixed charge of 30p per order.

I presume I can ignore this or do I have to click on something else to make sure it's just £1
In "Selling" then "Overview", what is at the bottom of the page when you scroll down to "Selling Promotions"?

Anyone know of an eBay calculator that I can specify an 80% off fees offer? I can’t find one and my maths is rubbish
  31. Avatar
Doesn't work for me, none of them do. Saying 'Expired' etc. They always used to work for me.

This is particularly annoying as I had a bulk load of items to list this weekend. I messaged eBay support asking why I don't get sent offers now, they told me that they are not sent to everyone, they are sent to batches of users on a rotating basis, and that I should 'hold on' and 'be patient' and I will get an offer myself 'soon'

Nah. gonna stick these items on Facebook. Their loss. They shouldn't muck people around like this.
Did you log into your account? Two weeks ago I got the "expired" message from the links but 80% was on offer logging in Friday.

    Ah states expired for me?
