Probably store specific but in my local in Didcot they had a couple on the shelves. Didn't think it was too shabby a deal.

seems decent heat from me

Good spot. I managed to stack some codes with the New Year's Tesco offers and I still paid £80 so this is great for anyone that can find it

You'd need to fit a bigger hard drive to take advantage of anything on ps+ but at this price that's not a problem

Bargain. My dad is after one so I'll look in my local tomorrow. This seems to be half price though so could be a clearance at any stores with stock left.

wonder if PS3 and 360 are outselling 4 and one?

Worth it just as a blu-ray player....nice.

I think even the SEGA Saturn is outselling the XBOX One!

OP, what store was this?

Not if they're anything like as poor as the dvd-player in the PS2. As always, dedicated device for a dedicated task. And there's far cheaper blu-ray players around now.

Totally agree, although it also has 3D Blu-Ray compatibility too, lovefilm, netflix, iplayer, itv player, 4OD, 5OD, etc etc lol. I could go on.

Xbox isn't a gaming machine, it's a Microsoft coin slot in your living room. We have had no end of grief with our son's 360 - it's a bleeping toy so why does it need layer after layer on nonsense piled on top of playing a game, redeeming a voucher or even using a browser. Of course he signed up as an 8 year old, as he is 8 years old - so they let him type in voucher codes he cannot use, making the vouchers useless.

Deffo will be checking my local tomorrow, thanks for mentioning it

Good Deal, Thanks for the effort OP :-)

4 hours after the stores close?

Would have been nice if you mentioned it a bit earlier.

Nice.

True, there are. But, and for me it's a big but, you won't get a smart/wireless blu ray player for much cheaper.

is this a slim or ultra slim version ?..

The blu ray player in the PS3 is great, it works really well and it has 3D support. no need for a separate blu ray player if you have a PS3

The PS3 blu-ray player was routinely rated top of the pile for the first 3 or so years of the PS3's life. That was largely because it had all the features required to allow for OTA updates - and the sheer grunt of the machine meant it performed tasks far quicker than dedicated machines.
As such, I would hazard a guess that the PS3 is still v.highly ranked as a blu-ray player. & obviously there is all the other value added stuff to go along with it. £75 is a great price for this device (I say this as an Xboxer)

I was never going to deny that £75 was not a great deal here - already voted for it.

How easy is it to upgrade the 12gb to say a 320gb? If I can buy a 320gb for £120 - £135 and the HDD costs more than the difference between than that and £75 its not really worth my time. Saying that £120 - £135 is for a 320gb ps3 slim PRE-OWNED and this is brand new.

Well, since I have some vague knowledge about the prowess of the PS3 blu-ray player, I thought i'd sling it your way. I see no point in getting two devices when one can do it all (I say this whilst typing away on my Asus T100 laptop/tablet hybrid ).
Convergence is the future.

I always thought it was just a case of slinging in a standard sata laptop drive? That was always a big selling point over the module approach of the 360. I'm sure someone will come along and correct me

5min job, look on youtube. Luckily i have a hardrive in my xbox so will just use that if i can find this at Sains. Probably worth it if you can buy one for under £30

This post i made a while ago might help
In a nutshell - The ps3 uses a caddy to hold the drive in the bay. The old Fat ps3 style caddy will not fit it uses a slightly different shape one now. Alternatively if you dont have an old Ps3 hard drive & wish to add one then you will need a caddy. Mine was £5 o Ebay Argos had them for £10 last time i looked .
