Good job getting it op. As always Tesco offers are random as hell so you've done well. I was looking but opted for a 2nd hand 320gb as I knew id be downloading some cheap games whenever psn had a sale.
12gb is no good for nothing, just got rid of 60 gb as its not worth having, got a 500gb now - at least that will last a while (I hope).

You do realize you can just stick a larger hard drive in these things?

The 12GB is great for many things.

1. Its great as a media centre for use of Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, NowTV, Iplayer all under the one box. It does it all, and the only media player that does (other than PS4,XboxOne).

2. 99.9% of the time on my PS3 all I played was call of duty, and hence 12GB is enough for the game to run off the internal storage.

Lol
Unrelated as far as product goes but as an example of tesco deals, yesterday I picked up a 70cl bottle of Cragganmore 12yo single malt in my local tesco for £16.75, however didn't bother posting it here as no doubt it'll have been available in my local store only, and I got the only (or last) one on the shelf.

At £45 it`s cheaper than a basic Blu Ray Player......
Great value even as a media player.
Fantastic price if you can get one. My local supermarkets have stopped stocking ps3s
None of my locals stock anything other than the current gen (XB1, PS4, WiiU, 3DS) and that's at a push!
Any PS4s at this price?
Would have preferred the Slim model rather than this plasticy super slim model or whatever the
cool kids call it.

Although for £45 new, I probably wouldn't complain.:)

The ability to play PS1/PS2 games would have been nice though but I don't think
any of these newer models of PS3 have the feature.

Has this got the new 'geese' chassis? Good buy for the OP.
Awesome deal, I brought one recently and put a 500GB SSD in it. Ive only got digital titles, you can really tell the difference in and out of game! Lots of life left in the PS3.
If you can get hold of one for me up pay you it and the postage!
I managed to bag the last PS3 from my local Asda for £100 a few weeks ago - it was however the 500GB super slim Destiny bundle - for £100 I didn't think it was a bad deal. I already have a PS4, but thought as an additional Blu Ray player it would come in handy

Curious too, managed to download Hulu, but it didn't work.
Hulu works fine for me, have been using it for two weeks via my PS3 now. You just need an American PSN account on your PS3 and also an American DNS provider (e.g Unotelly or Unblock-US) which you put inside your PS3s network manual configuration.

No need for anything other than those two.

I have an American account and have been using Google DNS. Sounds like I just need a (more) American DNS provider then? Thanks for the info

100% its the DNS. Google DNS are basically what the providers want you to use as they cannot be switched regions, this is what makes the PS3 so good as devices like the Roku have google DNSes hardcoded into them so you cannot easily change them out..

Switch those out to an American DNS and it will work fine inside your american PSN account. You can also then watch American Netflix on your PS3 too (with those google DNS you will be getting the UK Netflix, there is so much more content on the USA netflix that you will see once you put that american DNS into your PS3 too.

-Was in one store
-Was all of one PS3 Unit
-Has not been found in the rest of the UK

Yep exactly the same as most of the other Tesco deals posted here in the last few weeks...I wish they would ban these "one if your lucky instore" deals!

Don't you have to pay a subscription to those services? Kinda defeats the point (why pay to be a pirate?)

I wouldn't "ban" them as such, I'd probably be more inclined to give them their own section or at least require the posters to tick a box that says something akin to "single item/in-store".

But then as many have speculated over the years, there's still nothing to say that these aren't marketing and/or advertising "deals" placed in conjunction with tesco themselves.

Hang on a second, you are the person who specifically asked how I get Hulu on my PS3 which I kindly explain how I achieve it.

And then as a result you then come along and chastise me for doing it calling me a pirate.

When at the same time, you have been doing the same thing yourself via your PC " I can do all this on my PC via Kodi" So you are as big a "pirate" as me.

I honestly feel like why bother here.

It's not numptiness - the point I was making was that you may as well pay for the official service as you have to pay for those DNS services... but hey this is HotUKDeals afterall...

You are the one who asked how you get Hulu on your PS3 though!

You cannot get Hulu in the UK. You also cannot get a majority of the content on any other provider the world over. Hence why people want it.

I currently subscribe to Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and NowTV movies and entertainment. And even with that fortune I spent per month on them all, its only certain ones which have this.

For example at the moment I am currently going through season 1 of Miami Vice remastered in Hidef on Hulu. Netflix used to have it until last August. Then they lost the worldwide rights to Hulu. You cannot see it anywhere else in the world.

You can buy it on DVD in the UK but that is standard def versions created in the very early 2000s, whereas Hulu have it in 1080i remastered when NBC and CBS remastered a load of their old shows, Quincy, Airwolf, Knight Rider, etc.
