Probably around £80. Difficult justifying sale when you account for postage fees.

Where do you put the code? For the life of me I can't find the it.

At checkout under ecoupon, after you've logged in.

I know you can change the hdd easily enough, but wondered if there are bigger SSD's available preinstalled. A good deal, but hate the thought of having a perfectly good SSD sat doing nothing.

I tried it in the ecoupon box in the end myself and it worked. Thought that was for the clubcard vouchers at first.

Thanks for replying anyway.

V good deal....thanks OP

PS3 can't take advantage of ssd speeds so it's a complete waste.

Website is down for maintenance!

Really hope the deal is still active by the time the site comes back online

Tempted, I would sell a controller and the game, how much would I get maybe £30-£40?

Site is back up! Ordered immediately, thanks OP.

I wonder how well the ps3 is selling for them to justify this price. This is the 3rd model of a console using 8 - 9 year old technology, surely these things must be relatively cheap for them to manufacture now.

If you factor out the 500gb hard drive in the ps4 then these super slim ps3s are essentially a 3rd of the cost, which to me seems a little excessive for such old technology.

The controllers must cost them hardly anything to make too but they seem to think that £25 is a valid price point for something which is not only now out of date (superseeded by the ps4 controller) but available as a 3rd party for a quarter of the price.

The controllers sell for £20 odd second hand on eBay so £25 new... why not?

I'm not sure why all these 'deals' are cropping up when they're voucher codes! There's a section for that, is there not? Not to mention we're getting scores of 'deals' on different items using the same codes. Excellent price though, but people will really need to factor in the price for a decent HDD. 12 GB doesn't go anywhere.

Not voting either way as, strictly speaking, this is a code not a deal.

I agree, seems people are just scouring the tesco direct site and applying the code then posting deals as below RRP. Far too many tesco deals popping up because of this code. Admittedly ones like the wii u MK8 bundle is cheaper than anywhere else before the code is applied and that is a good deal worth posting.

This is annoying me though, so torn as to whether a PS3 is worth getting just to unlock all those PS+ games that are mounting up, I'd need a HDD though which would mean this would be pushing £170 by the time a drives added. Might wait and see what they say at E3, rumour has it there's another product refresh on the way as they've registered a new CECH number

This is a fantastic deal, if you bought this for the £130 with the Tesco code then sold the FIFA game and one controller on EBay you are getting yourself a PS3 for buttons.

Genuine PS3 controllers sell for £40 as does the FIFA game so there's £120 racked up so an addition tenner for a PS3 just looks like a great deal to me. If you don't have a PS3 already you buy this and with all the pre owned games out there for pennies as well it's gaming on the cheap.

I have a PS4, but I'm tempted to go back to PS3 with this deal due to the lack of PS4 titles available. But then there's Watch Dogs coming out on Tuesday. Also the game I'm probably most keen on playing again (The Last of Us) will be available for the PS4 in a couple of months too.

Looking at eBay's completed listings, you're probably looking at about £30 for FIFA and £22 each for the controllers after fees and postage. You wouldn't be able to sell both controllers though, would you.

You could, not sure what you'd do with your PS3 with no controllers though

Bought it. Mate is buying game + 1 controller off me for £50, so spare PS3 and spare controller for £80. Not too shabby

Hot! Those controllers are normally worth about £50 for two. I'd take it if I didn't already have one, or even buy it and sell the PS3!

great to see for with 2 controllers.

I think you're being a touch optimistic.

Would it be worth it to buy this instead of getting a second gen model ps3 preowned for 70? (with 2 genuine controllers) i heard that the third gen model is inferior to the second gen?

I'd be interested in just buying the PS3, without the game and controllers. If you knock a bit

Blimey.... If that's the case, what on earth were these released for?!? Discounting berks like me not knowing... Or perhaps that's reason enough!

These are just cheap ps3s, they give you 12gb as you need some storage to save games and apps. A 12gb flash chip is probably cheaper than any HDD so it lowered the entry price. The internal sata port hard drives use can't handle the speeds a ssd would so there's no point wasting your money on one for minimal gain over a normal mechanical drive

Saw this in Tesco Inverurie last night, no price on the shelf so didn't bother scanning it, maybe should have lol

Gonna buy this and sell my current ps3 + fifa game. Worth the hassle for that 2 year warranty!

I'm still not sure if to get this, I've got all the other consoles but I've always wanted to try some of the exclusives for ps3.

Not as good as Xbox but it's a good price.

All gone it seems can only add to wishlist...

Hot deal, good price! On another note, I would be interested in the world cup game if anyone wants to sell their copy!?

Could win tickets to World Cup

Not played FIFA World Cup demo but going on past releases it'll be a waste of ££, love FIFA but hate the World Cup games. OP good deal though. Heats

my old fat 60gb ps3 packed u last week, hdmi socket pins broke, followed by me destroying when trying to have a look inside! (daughter was gutted as she loves the little big planet & buzz titles etc.)... wasn't gonna bother until I saw this deal, a few quid on ebay and our old 60gb drive will slot straight in, also we now have 4 controllers for a fifa fest during the world cup!
