PS3 250GB Uncharted 2 & Modern Warfare 2 £255 HMV Gatwick

Just spoken to HMV in Gatwick as I was interested if they had any MW2 deals.

They are doing the Uncharted2 box AND Modern Warfare 2 for £255.

Also they are doing the Wolverine/Dark Knight/Remote/ Fifa10 OR Need for Speed (1 game only) deal for £241

This is similar to the last deal posted a while back which I went for
hotukdeals.com/ite…ota

but this is the cheapest MW2 deal I can see :-)

Haven't tried MW2 yet but heard it's awesome :-)

This is the Duty Free store, isn't it? The only way to buy it is if you're travelling and you have cleared security, thus having to lug it around with you wherever you go. Depending on the country you are travelling to you could end up having to pay a hefty import duty; UNLESS someone knows a way to buy from the Duty Free shops on the way back into Britain,

Any help would be appreciated, cheers in advance.

A Very HOT deal by the way. I'll reserve my vote until I can clarify my question.

I know Dixons tax free will send stuff straight to your home when you buy from the airpoirt (lets face it how are you going to carry your 42" plasma on the plane!!!! I would guess it will be the same with HMV, usually a fiver charge or something similar

Wow, it looks like an amazing deal !!!

+1. Can't be that hot if you can only get it once you've cleared customs

Hi, If you are flying out you can leave what ever you purchase at the airport with the shopping collection service, on your return your goods are waiting for you once you clear customs. Airport staff are also able to purchase from all the airside shops :santa:

Great deal! I am looking for ps3 with a decent price and this looks great! Too bad not everyone can buy it. Hope to see this deal in high street HMV!

any similar deals for manchester? flying through there thursday/sunday and i'm in the market for a ps3

these deals are stupid. Its in a duty free HMV

I thankfully own a PS3 and a 360 but this is a tremendous deal . Uncharted 2 is the best single player game I have played ever and I have been gaming since 1981 . MW2 speaks for itself , terrible propaganda for the single player portion but the Special Ops and Multiplayer are fantastic and give months of replay value

Yes it's a good deal but similarly we could post almost everything from Currys Digital at Gatwick as being a deal in comparison to high street prices. Once through the departure gate we're more or less outside of the country which is why the prices are different, perhaps we should start posting deals that we see at foreign ports while travelling back to the UK!

edit: It's also worth noting that this is only £255 if you then take it with you, whether the airline let you take it onboard as carry-on luggage or tell you to hand it over to go in the hold (extra charges aswell as possible damage or theft) is another matter. Anyone who's thinking of buying this may want to call HMV and find out if they do deliveries from their airport stores and if so what the cost is.

As allready stated above you can have things sent direct to your home when you buy in the tax free shops. Also a lot of people do travel a great deal for work etc. as well as on hols so actually these deals are very useful

When you buy something on the Duty free you have the option to buy it and pick it up on your way back. On the day you come back you just get it after you clear customs. There is a pick up point where people are normally waiting for you in Arrivals.

Hope that help.

I think is a very good deal for people that are travelling and do not need their PS3 whilst traveling.

PS: I might look into this during my next holidays

It's not a good deal if you have to take it to your destination and back again especially if you fly with Ryanair where you must be able to fit the item into your 10kg 1 bag allowance and remember to leave space for it on your return journey. This would only work if you've paid for checked baggage and pack your bags leaving the UK with not much in them.

If you're staying with friends or relatives you could find a way to send it back home via a courrier or post, by which time you've spent more than buying it in a UK HMC shop.

is the deal still on?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

but it is hot

Nice but I'm not travelling = COLD.

I take it I don't have to be travelling internationally to get this (Eg will a flight to Ireland be alright?)
