best price for the 60gb if u really must have one. they have stopped making them so they are all pre-owned anywhere now. these go for like £400+ on flea-bay so i thought this was good + game give a 12 month warranty with pre-owned consoles now aswell so that is one-up on e-bay. £9 reward points and most probz 3% quidco, can also pick up instore.

y is this going cold? if you really want one of these for backwards compatiblity etc. this is the best price u will probably get and with the warranty and a very good game and an ok game

rather good id say - but does it come with a controller? i like the sound of the bundle that has a dual shock 3 in it

ye that looks good too but DS3 is £27 @ yes asia, so these games add up to more. could sell them for a DS3. i would have thought it will come with a controller when i traded in my ps2 at gamestation they insisted it came with the original, official controller and the scart block. hope that helps

Maybe because of this I saw on another site -

The 40GB version is much quieter, runs cooler and consumes 25-30% less electricity. 60GB PS3s are too noisy for film play.

Like comparing the old 360 203w noisy version with the new 360 175w cooler and quite version....

I would say your better off with a Brand new 80GB version for about the same price. If someone is that bothered about playing PS2 games, they should just buy a PS2 as they will be about £59 soon.

What absolute rubbish.

You can get the 80GB version from tesco for £289 new

there is a slight difference in noise ive noticed, but the 60gb is far superior - i use all four of the usb ports (and more) plus playing PS2 games UPSCALED!!! which most people seem to forget looks way better than playing a ps2 through a standard connection on a HD TV, as the ps3 upscales them to 1080i (or p cant remember)...

I would rather play PS2 games on a PS2 console as the PS3 uses software emulation which is hit and miss. Some of my games are fine and some are rubbish. The Jap and US version had a hardchip for PS2 games which was perfect but for us they took it out for some reason.

Except the falcon 360 isn't any quieter than the Xenon/Zephyr models.

This is a 2nd hand ps3 too - a 2nd hand ps2 costs £15-£30 and less than £200 for a 2nd hand ps3 40gb. Cheaper and a much better solution too, as you get a proper ps2 - not incomplete software emulation.
