The console wars are about to get even more interesting, especially as the PS3 is now around the same price as the Xbox 360 Elite.
The 40gb model is available for £279.99 also from Shopto but for an extra £20, you'll have the 60gb model, which has it's obvious benefits including a 50% bigger hard-drive, sd card slots, more usb ports, backward compatability with the PS2 and a sleeker finish.

If you complete the order before 5:30pm today, you'll have it in time for tomorrow and can enjoy it over the weekend.

Hope that helps.

are there no games/blurays or extra controller with this?

Ok if you don't want any games or extras, but I'd pay the extra bit and get a couple of games (eg about £35 more for two games from Currys/Dixons with the vouchers).

It doesn't look like it but it's an alternative for people who want the 60gb console but don't want to be forced to buying 2 worthless games as part of the bundle for an extra £50.

i think we get the idea now there are about 30 diffrent deals on a PS3

Nope.

Cheaper to get the other bundles (virgin/bb/hmv/gamestat)

Hi welcome to hotukPS3deal.com

If they set that up as a new site they'd be getting a lot of hits this week!!

I wish more places were selling the bare console. I'm not personally interested in any of the games that are being offered in the bundles, so they're only worth as much as I can shift them for on eBay (and it's flooded with 'em). Therefore, 299 for a bare console is a good price for me.

Yep, there is better offers around for bundles but like you said, if you don't like the games included in the bundles, then it's just more effort to sell the games to recoup as much of the money back as possible, so this is more of a minimum hassle offer and then you can create your own bundle, as there's some very cheap and decent games around anyway.

i cant buy this, it wont accept my debit card, is the currys with 5% the next best? thanks
