Comfort Play Pack - Its a add on for the PS3 controller (Dual Shock 3)
If you struggle with the PS3 controller because its a little small, this is for you. I have fairly large hands and really struggle with the Dual Shock 3 and spotted the 'EA Sports' Comfort Play pack in Asda. Its £9 or two for £15
Basically you get silicone add on enhancements which click on to the PS3 controller to add bulk to it. Once fitted the controller has about the same feel to it as a Xbox 360 controller.
Included in the Comfort Play Pack is two triggers, two stick thumbs and two controller addons.
This will not suit all but anyone who prefers the Xbox controllers size over the PS3 controller should look at this.
I have been using it for a week and its top notch.

As I say, I was given the heads up on this and thought 'meh, its £9 why not try it'
I never have been able to enjoy Fifa on the PS3 as I just cannot get away with the controller until now.

I took some photos to illustrate the Pack

I have spotted the other Asda £9 or two for £15 thread here at hotukdeals but this item was not listed there and its way better than all the other items posted - headset, keypad etc as they are cheap third party items. This Pack is third party but its so good that Sony should make them Officially.
I do not want a Fanboy war - I have both a Xbox and a Ps3 and happy with both but I do really struggle with the PS3 controller due to its size.

First accessory I bought were the proper triggers. I'm tempted with this....

Yep, I got the Geotech triggers too and they are good but the controller still feels small.
the Comfort Pack triggers are silicone coated so you get the grip on the trigger too which actually feels better during racing sessions where the Geotech triggers are just plastic so your finger does not always stick to the trigger.
Why Sony have not admitted their mistake and offered a larger 'trigger' dual shock 3 is a mystery to me.

Might pop in to asda have a look at these later. Heat Added

does anyone know if the hand grips arer silicon aswell? from Basher walls photo, they look plastic

They are all 'Pammy Anderson'
The finest silicone you can get. Lol
All the items including hand grips are silicone for extra comfort. Hope this helps

Excellent! I can now grip my DS3 in comfort and not have to change the way I hold it to get to the L1 & L2 buttons. Well played fella!

Maybe because they sell by the million.

Without it turning sour, can you seriously say that the triggers as standard are a good idea?
As for selling millions, well that's debatable as Sony give the controllers away with the ps3 and the sales of the dual shock 3 are boosted by people upgrading their sixaxis which has no rumble and the fact that no third party controller is any good due to poor deadzones.

Don't think the item is on Adsa's website, it seems to be a instore deal only.
It would be nice to hear a few peoples thoughts if they do get the Comfort Pack as when I looked on the net about these I found nothing. Just a side note that I have seen these in Asda branded as Ea Sports and also with no branding on but the packs are the same.
If you are lucky HMV were doing these Comfort Packs for £5 but I checked my local two in Newcastle and was out of luck, but all Adsa's I have been to have stock.

So you don't think that sony have sold millions of DS3 controllers. Fair enough.
Sony give ONE controller with the console. How many people with a PS3 only have one controller?

Upgrading is part of life i'm afraid. Would you say Volkswagens figures for new cars are debteable because people sold their old car to purchase one? oO

I like the dual shock 3 but I have an issue with it's size, that's it. Sony have the monopoly with the controller as no other pad comes close on the PS3.
Not sure where you are going to with the Volkswagon comment but I am not going to argue.
I wish Sony made a larger controller, much like that boomerang one they showed us at the Ps3 preview. It's my opinion and nothing more and the Comfort Pack gets somewhere close so I am happy.

Cheap, but does it work?

This is only £6.99 at Amazon. Ok free slower delivery 3-5 days but still cheaper.
