They've had em on there for preorder since last week mate. Cheers for the heads up though.

A while ago following a posting on this site I placed an order with these guys (back in May 2006), before the UK street price was
confirmed...

Think I'll cancel this after they sent me an email today!!!!!

RE: Playstation 3 Console order with DVD.CO.UK

Order reference : 15**********

We have now had our allocation of Sony PS3 consoles confirmed by Sony and
your order for a PS3 is covered by the allocation. Congratulations!

*** Please note the base package you ordered at £499.99 will not be reduced in price.

So they're charging £75 more than the RRP ??!?!!?!?!!?!!? Are they allowed to do this?

They can charge what the hell they like because there are no price controls these days. This means you can be offered a discount to the suggested retail price or be offered a price that's a rip-off. It's down to you whether or not you decide to buy - buyer beware is the maxim nowadays. The contract is formed when they take your money. If you don't agree with the price, dip out.

Different regulations govern resellers of tickets and stuff but for something like a PS3, you'll pay whatever the market will stand. Therefore, avoid it like the plague and if enough people do it, the price will fall off a cliff and you will purchase at a sensible price:thumbsup:
