Good alternative to those who can't get hold of one from Argos.

Same price as the Argos deal listed but NONE IN-STOCK for home delivery and hit or miss if its available in-store (none in any of my 5 closest stores).

This is IN-STORE AND ONLINE.

Online price £39.99 + £4.95 standard delivery

In my hunt for cheap Blu-Ray's I found it in the sales at my local Liverpool branch.

I know there aren't as many Toys R Us' compared to Argos stores but this is an alternative option to Argos so I hope this helps someone who is looking and maybe in similar position I was in.

PlayTV allows you to watch, pause and record free-to-air digital television channels using your PS3. You can pause live television, or rewind it if you missed something; record one channel while watching another; and access a complete guide to the coming week's programmes.

If you also have a PSP, then it's easy to take the full service with you, wherever you go; if you are within range of a Wireless Internet connection, you can take advantage of PlayTV's great features from anywhere in the world, using Remote Play for PSP.

Not only can you watch your favourite shows live and in superb quality while you're abroad, you can record channels and watch them back later. In summary, you can do everything with your PSP that you could do if you were sat in front of the TV at home.
Remote Play allows you to take control of your PS3 from your PSP, so the advantages aren't restricted to PlayTV; you can watch movies or listen to music saved on the PS3 system's hard drive and even play games that support the feature.

I know but it's not in-stock for home delivery or any of my 5 closest stores so this is an alternative for anyone who can't get hold on one (like myself)

what would be better, is to get PC world to price match and get 110% of the difference

Great deal, voted hot.

A little tip for any PS3 owners too. Someone told me about this website the other day, it lets you stream freeview without having to have PlayTV (though you obviously can't record). Handy if you don't have a digital aerial or the wife has nicked the telly to watch corrie...

You need to use this URL from the PS3 browser: tvcatchup.com/wat…c=1

It's a link to an "older" version of the site, the console doesn't like the new one (I think it's a Flash player thing). You can switch channels using the bar at the bottom of the screen!

You can also use it from your PC too. Bargain!

You can use this site to stream live TV to your PSP too. So if you're thinking of buying Play TV just so you can watch TV on your PSP do this and you can do it for free! I do it's great :-D

does this or will this ever be able to provide any form of HDTV quality channels; or is it merely resigned to standard-definition broadcasts? i.e can you access ITV1 HD, etc.. channels that are available now with other services?

Good price, and will slot in nicely to the entertainment system. First looked at this last year but was too much when first launched.
