You probably was looking at the pre-owned bit, look above that!

Just got one for £204 from Playstation rewards, thought that was cheap.
Hot!
I think this may be the new price from summer, maybe less?

not bad! i think they have been around £200 mark for these on playstation rewards for a while now though!!!

Sonys been hinting that their going to drop the price so I would hold off for a bit. Although you never know with these things and this is a decent price if you want one right now.

Price drops rumoured to be around june/july though, that Patcher guy said September.. ;/

Also don't forget 1.5% cashback at Quidco

Not sure if the prices are gonna drop, after what has happened in Japan. Hard to get a good deal on PS3, comparing to the one from Xmas. I'm looking for a 320GB right now, mainly on ebay. Still hot.

I think everyone's going to try and get rid of these soon considering Sony's apparently working on a new version which should stop the hacking problem for now.

Anyone know games trade in price for a 60gb ps3?

"even more cheaper" ?

"even more cheaper" ?

Technical term I think.

Does anyone see this falling below £199 in the near future?

I have an old fat 80GB PS3 with a very loud fan that kicks in after a few minutes but apart from that works fine. Where might I sell this for the best price?

Why would they want to get rid of them because they are hackable? That would only make them more attractive wouldn't it?

It was £169 a couple of month ago, there was quite a few deals on around £169 then. Amazon, Tesco, Game etc

Why would you sell 60GB one? Change the hard drive to 500GB for around £30 and you are better off anyway.

Plays PS2 games
4 usb
card readers
power switch on the back

Our 60GB packed up a couple of weeks ago it won't play any games or dvds. We bought a new one instead of messing about changing the laser etc... !! PC World and Currys were doing the 160gb for £196. The 60GB can go on ebay, someone who knows what they are doing can get it working!!

I ordered one at that price and it was cancelled as they had none in stock. This is a good price for 160gb.

Did you follow the advice in that thread? I posted a few times about conversations I had with GAME's Customer Services team, as did some other members.

My order was also cancelled, but with a little patience I received a console two weeks later.

Heat, PS3 is such a great machine

Why is this hot? oO I bought a 120GB Slim from John Lewis 16 months ago for this price. If it's the cheapest deal around today then fair enough but it seems like Sony are artificially holding prices high.

Why do people get ripped off so much with the bigger drives from sony , top tip is to simply look for the cheapest stock ps3 you can find , Its so easy to fit a new harddrive to one of these , I bought a stock 160gb ps3 for 196 at currys then a samsung 9.5mm 640gb harddrive for 44 quid, simply slotted the new drive in and in 20 mins and had a 640gb ps3 for £240 full warranty still intact and a spare hitachi 160gb drive to either use as a laptop spare or sell on ebay to get a few quid back

Just remember though smerf... if for any reason you have to send your unit back to Sony they cant guarantee that you will get the same unit back, thus the drive you send it back with may also go. What im saying is always keep your original drive as a back up just in case ;-)

Wouldn't pay any more than what I did for it couple months back, £170. Still goodish deal if you really need one.
