Hot OP. :-)

Often this price from GAME, even when they get OOS, it's worth checking back as they post more stock regularly. Heat added.

I can only imagine the awful price they give people on trade ins for these then.. wow

Makes you wonder why people accepted those low prices they were offered, rather than pursuing higher offers elsewhere...

Heres's the details from their site re trade-ins .
PlayStation 3 500GB Slim (PS3) 70711719244868 (Cash £76.50) (Trade-in £85.00)

Bought one of these last week, turned up manky so I flipped it on Gumtree.

This or the 320GB Slim for the same price? Thoughts please.....

Which GAME Store was this at please ..... thanx. :-)

Austerity measures, &/or desperation all play their part here for real ..... its a shame .....

Online !

GAME.....hmmmmm....I never advise people to buy there and always ask people to price match with CEX. Game will rip you off on trade-ins and sales. £59.99 for Watchdogs but now down to £49.99 at Game...when Tesco, asda argos etc were between £43 and £47 from the start.. Just "mums and dads" goto people for games that don't know better:(

I did some research before buying one for my son and the super slims are not very popular. The slims got much better reviews. Hope this helps.

Went into a Game today for the first time in years....they had a 320GB trade-in for sale.....@ £149. Apparently they can't match their online site prices. If they had would have been v.tempted.

It does, thanks for posting. Although a smaller disk size, the slim is supposed to be quieter according to reviews. Of course a SuperSlim would be only up to 6-7 months old, whereas a Slim could be a few years old......decisions decisions....

Good price for the 500gb plus with the 12month warranty I give heat,

Bought one that turned up manky and making a buzzing sound... Spoke to an customer services on Webchat who let me take it to my local store for replacement. Got the pick of the bunch at no extra cost and the store was punting them for £170.... cheekly took the extended warranty for £30 as well

I know these are meant to be noisy, but what bit is the noisy bit? I'm so tempted by one as I have 6 months of PS+ games I can get in stuck in to, so if its just the shoddy cheap blu ray drive I'm very tempted

The warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on

Ordered this morning, cheers

I dont really trust second hand electronics but good deal nevertheless I'm voting hot

The guarantee is a marketing thing to get people buying

The worst model.
The previous slim was much better in looks, function and quietness

Horrible build quality and top loading disk drive. Go for the slim model.

However, a slim could be nearly 5 years old, whereas a super slim is guaranteed to be less than 2 years old. I know they'd both come with a 12 month warranty, but the super slim is likely to end up lasting longer.

Also, the 500gb super slim is for sale for £100 with a 12 month warranty, the same can't be said for the slim model.

I got the superslim from the Tesco's deal last month on here. Haven't found it noisy whatsoever. If it is suppose to be not as quiet as the slim then the slim must be virtually silent.

Would anyone recommend this or try and hold out for a cheaper slim version second hand elsewhere?

I agree, the SS is certainly far quieter than my fat Xbox 360, though not as quiet as my PS4.

Not Happy with Lloyds Bank!
Managed to bag one and the bank decided it was a fraudulent transaction and declined payment after it had been accepted by Game. Who then cancelled the order and now it's OOO. Aghhhhhhhh! Bloody Bank!!!

I had the same several months ago when trying to use Game.

Warranty seems great by anecdotal evidence. Game swap immediately for like or even new. Had tech team at work check my PS3 out, was/is fine.
