where from?

from fleabay.co.uk ;-)

wonder if game will be selling some cheap second hand ones soon then i'd happily pay 210 for one

I read somewhere that there is a shortage of PS3 units globally. I think it's something to do with them changing supplier of certain components (cheaper) and thus it' taking a while to build their stock levels up.

Some of the ]listings for 60Gb PS3 consoles at Play.com have been available since before the European launch date (23 March 2007).

An example, from a PlayTrade seller:

]Sony Playstation 3 PS3 Console with 60GB HDD & 2 Games (Resistance: Fall Of Man / Formula One) + Official Wireless Sixaxis Controller + HDMI Cable + Click (Blu-ray) £749.99

The prices are raised periodically so make sure you order early to avoid disappointment

Mind you, Marshall Ward wanted to charge for bundles ranging from £500 to £630 before the launch date!

]Get your order in for a UK (European) PS3 now... (22 November 2006)

Lol, bit late with a reponse but it was from a wholesaler a mate was in touch with - think they only had 20 or so at that price so probably all gone now! Had I realised it was such a good price I might have bought one....

Best not to pick up a phat one ppl - there's some kind of calendar bug hitting some, reducing the use of the network play or even some new (hard rain) games..... no known fix yet, but possibly a motherboard issue...

From skynews site:

Sony's PlayStation network has gone into meltdown after a bug left thousands of consoles unplayable.

Owners of PS3 consoles are tweeting they can't play PS3 Originals and that the Play Station online network is down.

Some users are reporting they cannot load games with "Trophies" or play Premium Themes. Others are reporting their Trophy data and high scores have been wiped.

When they attempt to log-on, gamers are reporting the following error: "8001050F - Hardware failure. Cannot update Firmware or connect to internet".

Some users also claim they are unable to pay games previously downloaded from the network.

Since offline systems are affected, it is suggested a firmware error could be to blame rather than a network error.

There are rumours it has been caused by a leap-year miscalculation, as the fault emerged overnight as February rolled into March.

Many PS3 owners are reporting their console clocks have reset to December 31, 1999 or January 1, 2000.

If this is the reason, it will be embarrassing for Sony, though they should be able to solve the problem by releasing a 'patch'.

It's not yet clear how many users have been affected. Though with 33 million users worldwide, the number is likely to be significant.

Sony is keeping users updated via Twitter. They advise: "We're narrowing down the issue and continue to work to restore service to all. Updates as soon as we have them. Stay tuned".

Anyone know if the offers are still on? Reason being I phoned Game up yesterday (2nd) and quoted me £150 for my 40GB PS3 - this was before I saw this deal on here.
I phoned up a different store just in case they had it wrong but they also said £150.

Is the deal extended or was both stores wrong? Hopefully trading in the morning if the prices will be the same.

This has now been fixed and works perfectly again

I can confirm this deal is very much still active - Game today offered £150 trade and cash for my 40gb PS3

I'm interested in this I got a 40gb and I'd like a new 250gb anybody know any good deals anywhere or what bundles game are doing

Bumped as PS3 trade-in prices are still good at Game. They're offering £200 for a 120gb Slim, meaning I can swap mine out for a 360 Elite with Pure, Lego Batman, extra controller, 3 months Sky, remote, 3 month Live Gold and a choice of Forza 3 or Mass Effect 2. And I still get to walk home with change :-D

Cracking trade in price for the 40gb, rest of the prices are not so great (relatively)

These prices still valid ? Anyone know what gamestation are offering for a 40gb unboxed ps3 ?
