shame they didn't just throw it in with plus, would of loved a "playstation ultimate"
£42 for a year ain't half bad. I'm not jumping on board these subscriptions just yet but glad to see Sony being more competitive

Absolutely... and less for some...

...if only there were some games that I wanted to play in the service...
Apart from a few titles, the PS4 section looks like a retrospective of everything we've had via PS Plus and I see Ni No Kuni 1 is still missing for the UK

I can't say for definite, as I've never used anything past the 1 month trial and that was back when PS Now was purely a really bad streaming service. I'd imagine so though, bud - in the same way a PlayStation Plus license can be shared.
It’s £12.99 a month or £84.99 a year for me sorry
How’s the streaming performance these days? Heat.
Still showing as £84.99

You can actually download PS Now titles as of last year (IIRC), as for the streaming quality, I can't help, sadly

I've read around a bit and it seems that the downloadable (PS4 & PS2) games are playable as anyone on a Primary console but that only the PS Now subscriber can stream games...
There is a half-workaround, where you start the streaming game as the PS Now subscriber but then switch accounts... Although trophies will only be awarded to the PS Now subscriber.

Would be better if you could download the PS3 games too, but guessing you can't because of the differences between PS3 and 4. Streaming is too hit and miss, mainly miss.
Definitely signing up at this price, especially now they seem to be adding bigger games. Good move by Sony.
IMO it's more value for money to buy those individual top games and sell/trade them on later at your own leisure or actually own them without being held hostage to an online service that has had issues in the past. Most of us won't have all the time in the world to take advantage of the huge number of games and it's always better to go for quality over quantity with games. I guess it's good for trophy hunters if they're still around.

This seems like a late reaction to Game Pass which for a PC/XBox owner must be great.
Can all games be downloaded or just select titles...? My Internet connection isn't ready for game streaming!

Totally agree. It's a very welcomed price drop and I've always found the streaming to work well... but, I'm only interested in the PS4 titles and most of those I already have via PSN+.

Sony really need a GamePass equivalent with more 3rd party/recent games. (Although, I suspect that might be part of their PS5 strategy)
Anyone any idea how this stacks does the now run out before the ps plus I've about 7 months left on plus

Thanks BubaMan. That's a little disappointing as I'd be in it more for the PS3 titles (typical)!

Regardless, the new price is much more tempting!
4 quid a month isn't such a bad price. Maybe its about time I look into this.

A reminder that Sony re-enabled the 7-day trial for everyone about 8-12 months back so you can (and should, where streaming is concerned) try before you commit

Maybe I should give it a try then. I tried it when it first came out, and the quality started off good and was responsive. Then over the course of 10 minutes it got ever more blocky until it disconnected.
Rinse and repeat.

They aught to tbh, with a similar upgrade deal that MS offered (£1 to convert the rest of your sub to GPU).
It'd tie people into their services for a few years and into the next generation of hardware.
Pre-empting Google Stadia I imagine.

Shame they don't, I'll extend my ps plus as always but the now service doesn't interest me too much as an add on. Decent deal now though for those who aren't impulsive game buyers. Cheers for the help.
