I have absolutely no idea what this is. Just really wanted to post something that maybe @mixmixi & @Gamerofgames would appreciate...

Akiba's Beat Limited Edition includes:-
  • Standard game
  • Artbook
  • Packaged box

There are two sides to the gameplay: first, players will wander the streets and question the quirky Akihabara residents on a variety of subjects related to the mystery at hand, ultimately unlocking fantasy-themed dungeons known as “Delusions capes” which are infested with monsters called “delusions.” These delusions are encountered on the map and fought in a party-based action battle system, putting players' skills to the test and creating a uniquely challenging experience that seamlessly blends a real-life locale with the secret delusory world of its residents' true desires.

For those with a PlayStation Vita, the standard edition is available from Base at £12.99. Might be a good deal, I'm not entirely sure - but the pricing looks good.

Now I feel like a VIP. Are you flirting with me and @Gamerofgames Buzz?

Oh, and heat added, of course.

I was looking at this on vita the other day. From Shopto it comes with a free soft toy on both vita and ps4 (standard edition). I don't know if it's worth making a fuss about, but it might appeal to collectors/those with kids.

Vita £14.85 - shopto.net/vid…eat
PS4 £12.85 - shopto.net/vid…eat
This game was really disappointing in comparison to Akiba's Trip.

Last time I used shopto they didn’t send my sackboy free keyring. After contacting them and being told they would post one out and then not receiving they told me to contact the post office. Hmmm...

Nate is always in our hearts <3. Where did you go for 6 weeks?!
@BuzzDuraband I think normally you would be right that Id like this but I've read the reviews and they aren't that encouraging so I'm probably not going to get it.

Never judge a game based on online reviews mate. Worth a go at this price. Only game that does not need any review and it was born bad since before birth is Metal Gear Survive (which won't survive).
Have some heat, got this a few days ago for £7 on eBay... Not played it yet

Have you seen the vast differences in scores between Steam & Metacritic? Like mixmixie said, you can't trust reviews.

Taste differs too much between people i guess.

I'm not one to really trust reviews for niche games, but I really enjoyed Akiba's Trip and this took away everything that made the first game so wacky and enjoyable (the combat, the interesting characters, the cheeky humour, the licensed shops, the OTT story, the amusing side-quests) and made one of the most boring JRPGs I've ever played. The combat is a terrible tales clone, the characters are annoying and/or uninteresting (Pinkun must be the worst character I've encountered in a game in a long time), the story is painfully slow, repetitive and uninteresting, the side-quests just have you go around the lifeless map from A to B to C, non-quest NPCs have been replaced with coloured outlines and at least on Vita it looks poor with massive load-times.

If people enjoyed it then that's great, but I certainly didn't.
Akiba's Trip is pretty good. Akiba's Beat is pretty awful.
