Great price very tempted but gonna hold out a little longer for a deal below £300

Going atomic

I'm in no rush, I'll get one when it comes with a game for 299. End of year I'm thinking.

What do you do... Paper round?

in regards to their extra year guarantee:
"What is not covered: Consumable or auxiliary items e.g. discs, leads, printers, removable batteries / battery packs or any accessories, peripherals or external hardware supplied with the Electrical Equipment."

you think that includes the controller?

peripherals i'd say so.

Don't know whether to plunge for this or not. Any ideas if it's going down in price over the next few weeks?

good price but don't all electrical goods come with 2 years manufacturers warranty now?

Tricky. On the one hand, Xbox One is breathing down the neck of PS4 price-wise now. On the other, Sony can't meet demand, so do they need to drop price?

seems that way. which is odd (to my understanding anyway)

I was following the same logic and can't really see the market pushing the price down much further. I think I've waited long enough, I'm going ahead with the purchase.

Sony have not really dropped the price here have they? The PS4 has been available and still is for £329, this price is only as hot as it is due to the discount code to take it to this price, Which in fairness is only £15 down hardly deal of the century (no offence to the OP)

do you know where on the tesco website it says about the extra year guarantee? Thanks

I am going to wait until an exclusive comes out I can't live without. Probably the next last of us game next year.

A good deal on a good console

Absolutely, Sony have been pretty firm with their pricing which demonstrates how they had it right first time, I think it's moved from £349 to 329 which is nothing at all. The pressure has been completely on Microsoft to lower their pricing and it seems to be doing the trick. It has, as you mentioned, been individual retail deals that have knocked a few quid off here and there but nothing earth shattering.

The pressure has evidently been on Microsoft as they decided to not only lower the price but lower it with one of the current top end games with it (Titanfall). To me the Xbox One at £314.10 with Titanfall is the earth shattering deal from this Tesco code milarky

The PS4 is just a general price cut but the consumer now needs to go out and fork extra on that game they want £314.10 + £30.00 (ish)?

Actually this is not a price drop at all it's just a tesco voucher code available on any hardware at a certain price.

The xb1 was too much at launch as was the ps3, so it's no real surprise their is no parity in the pricing Expect this to continue moving forward as with the ps3 / 360 after Sony bit the bullet and dropped the price.

Unless you're talking about the Remastered version you will be waiting a lot longer for the sequel than next year.

That's disappointing I won't be buying a ps4 to play a game I completed a year ago on the ps3.

Surely the new last of us game will be out next year ?

I agree with you. The recent Xbox deals have been astonishing. £100-£150 drop from launch. They won't get treated as well as the PS4 deals because of the opinions on both consoles but its really surprising to see it drop so much so quickly. I feel bad for anyone who got one at launch

There isn't even a new Last of us game confirmed! If so it probably won't be out until late 2015/2016.

If you want a new Uncharted game though, that might be out next year

I find that surprising and disappointing as its by far there biggest franchise now and the only exclusive aaa title at the moment that will get me to buy one. Unless they come up with something amazing at e3.

Uncharted is ok. Played all the games on ps3 and enjoyed them but tomb raider reboot was much better in that genre, so not a reason to buy the system for me personally.

I got xbone on launch and I really regret it. Total waste of money. I wasn't expecting prices to go down sooo fast

the game was only released less than ayear ago and they are currently working on the port for ps4. last of us 2 wont be here until 2016 at least imo

As awesome as this deal is, I've already ordered the Xbox One. Kinda raging they didn't offer a game with this deal.

Its not really surprising or disappointing. The game is a year old, and Naughty Dog aren't the kind of company to release a game every year. Uncharted games were released 2 years between each other. Sure next year will be 2 years after The last of us, but they are porting it over to PS4 and they didn't intend on making a second one in the first place, whereas with Uncharted they did. Which will cause it to be have more of a delay. Personally I'd rather they created a new franchise instead, The Last of us is the kind of game that will be better off without a sequel.

Thanks op... just pre-ordered a ps4 watchdogs bundle for £346.50 X):)
