This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

For those looking to get a new controller if your current one is worn, you can take it to a GAME store and trade it in to get a brand new one for £14.99

Edit: Trades will depend on the person inspecting/what store you trade it into. My controller had scratches, a small dent and the serial number completely gone but they still accepted it. Some stores might not be as lucky though, so just hope the salesperson you talk to is in a good mood!

So they'll swap your perfectly working controller and £15 for another working controller.... uh.... Heat? :/
Am I missing something here? why would you trade a perfectly working DS4 with a new one for £14.99?

The rubber on the left analogue stick has worn of on mine, I want another but using this deal they only take working ones with no cosmetic damage, LOL.
Just a word of warning they can be picky I've noticed, the sticker on the back of my pad had worn off and they said they wouldn't take it
I don’t get it!

They want a perfect controller and £15 for a new one !?

True, I imagine they will just be collecting them for CEX to sell...
Temptimg as the V1 of the dualshock 4 is far inferior to the newer models

Seems a bit weird of GAME to do this, realistically they'll be getting a load of 3-5 year old V1 pads in, think they're trying to stock up for Christmas when selling bundles?

The v2 controller has the light bar on the touch panel and improved response times over the v1. Also controllers may look knackered and worn and on the way out so people might want to replace. Not a bad offer considering the retail price.

I assume the new controller would come with a 12 month warranty too.

I can see how you'd want to trade in a pad with problems... I had one that wouldn't return to centre on the left stick and another that wouldn't fully press down on R2 (so some shooting games didn't work)... Luckily both were still under warranty but I did have to show that there were problems via DS4Windows - any casual inspection wouldn't have shown the problems.

They wouldn't accept a Vita whose serial had partially worn.

Good deal. I got my wife to finally agree to a-null after I traded my controller in, so definitely worth it!
IF your pad has cosmetic damage, like thumb grips peeling, buy new grips for a quid on banggood and swap them over. Don't pay £15 to swap your pad unless there's something actually wrong with it. Even then, I don't imagine they would take those.
Just my input, but I went to trade in my controller because the L2 button sometimes kept registering the Up button, and the D-pad was quite stiff, and these two issues actually have lost me games. It still functions properly though, and the staff didn't hook it up to a PS4 to test - they just observed and checked how the buttons felt.

Not sure if its my controller but I have 2 (1 does it more than the other) and at times, usually on FPS it has a delay for my button press, usually the analogue sticks!
Moved my router which was suggested but still have it at times, can get very annoying 😡

Mine had some scratches near the 4 main buttons and they accepted it
So can I do this and pick up any colour I want? I know it says it excludes the camo and 500 million limited edition one, but otherwise the rest are eligible?
What a stupid trade

Yes, after they checked my controller the guy serving me asked what colour I wanted. Think you could choose from black, white, red or blue.

Thanks, that's pretty fantastic.
Or you know...just buy the controller insurance. Think it's £15 to extend your warranty to 3 years and it covers everything.
They'll be stockpiling loads of faulty controllers lol.

This changes things! Bought a 2nd hand controller last weekend for a tenner, not the best condition but usable. Tempted to take it to Game, £15 for a brand new White one. £25 in total for a £45 current price at game.
I picked up new controller for £23 from sainburys and £29.99 from AO this seems expensive, if it was broken then yes.

You can change the battery

If your router is to blame (turn it off - does it fix the problem?), you should try to move your router as far from the PS4 (and out of the line of sight between the ps4 and your pad) as possible.
If you can't do that, try changing the channel on the router (2.4GHz and 5GHz).

Also try to make sure nothing else (especially electronics) is sat on top or underneath the PS4.
If you've got other wireless kit (other consoles, etc) near your PS4, unplug them as they will still be chatting /listening in standby.
Other wireless devices around you (phone, laptop, etc) could cause problems so move those away from you when playing.
Another thing that causes input lag is image processing on TVs - make sure your TV is set to game mode.

If you still have problems, the v2 DS4 will actually work over USB so you could get yourself a long cable

Ah right ok, it's a pain as it happened to both my pads, think the heat from your hands eventually wears it off
My controller is generally fine except in Bloodborne where it sometimes randomly does a gesture and lies down in the middle of a fight or attacks again when I try to heal. Other than that it`s fine. Might be worth it. `Game reward account required`, wossat ?
Hmm, seems like some sort of loyalty/credit card says something about 17.9%apr etc, not sure that`s worth bothering with. Also a fee may be needed to apply ?

Damn didn't think of this warranty gone by now
I have a V1. Although nothing is wrong with it when it come to playing games, I do feel as though the battery life isn't as long as my V2.
I took a malfunctioning controller to CeX a few months ago and managed to pass it off as working and got £21 for it. So by that deal if you can get a controller for less than £36 somewhere else you're better doing a CeX trade-in and buying new elsewhere.
