Excellent price for Death Stranding, well worth it!
Note that this version of Bloodborne doesn't contain the excellent DLC. Bloodborne Game of the Year edition does, which can be found occasionally on sale on PSN for £13, a physical version of the Game of the Year edition will cost you a bit more.

Death stranding, the visually amazing delivery driver game that should be boring but is weirdly insanely addictive
Is death stranding any good... considering buying but feeling it may get repetitive and boring? Cheers in advance

Do they not sell a physical version of Bloodborne GOTY anymore?

I personally recommend the "Girlfriend Reviews" YouTube channel review of this to get a flavour
Hot, just for HZD alone!

Still can get it from some places including Amazon, you're just paying £20 or more for it for physical. DLC is on disc so pre-owned versions are fine. They rereleased the game twice after the GOTY edition, neither had the DLC, it's very strange.
Damnit, just bought horizon for £13. Ah well. Not too bad

What did you think of it? It was very impactful but I couldn't call it fun

I suppose it depends on what you mean by fun! I played it for 120 hours and got the Platinum, and loved every single minute. Maybe I wouldn't call it fun, but I also wouldn't say that about other favourite games of mine like Silent Hill 2 or Shadow Of The Colossus. I found the story enthralling, the game world is gorgeous, the soundtrack is stunning, and the gameplay shifts between being genuinely tense to strangely peaceful and soothing. Absolutely loved the online elements too, it has such a strange sense of community for a single-player game. Turning it on to find hundreds of people had used a stretch of road I'd built was bizarrely satisfying.

Yeah it's bizarre. I put alot of time into it and it's certainly left an impression but when you look back you sort of consider if you enjoyed it haha.

Just wanted to say thanks for actually giving an indepth and detailed analysis of why you thought it was good (or bad) rather than its amazing or 'it sucked'. I'm torn between getting it now or waiting for PC version as I recently got a new gaming rig to potentially test it on.

If you do get it, I hope you enjoy it, because it's an experience like no other.
All I would say is, a lot of the complaints I've seen sound like they never got past the first area. The whole first section is basically a 10-15 hour tutorial and that's where most of the complaints about slowly carrying and dropping boxes up and down hills comes from. Once you get to the huge Central Region you start unlocking roads, power skeletons, bikes, trucks, zip lines, guns etc etc and the whole thing really opens up.

Oh thats absolutely fine for me. I love slow burners most of the time (both with movie and game properties) as they allow time for themes, motifs and character explorations if they story is providing them adequately of course.

I love Reedus from the Walking Dead so its great to see him in a different dramatic role such as this.

But I would say that’s Kohima’s fault should a game need 10-15 hours to appeal to the average person? Maybe they should of trimmed the game by 10 hours instead.

All the PlayStation Hits titles listed are worth £10 a pop. If you recently got A PS4 and bought these 4 you'd be a very happy gamer (tbh you could look through the PS Hits catalogue and buy 10 of the existing ones and they actually be really great titles).

That's actually an argument I agree with in most cases - I don't get on with JRPGs for example, and I remember laughing at one of my friends when he insisted that some game I hadn't liked actually got 'really good after the first 30 hours'. No thanks mate

But it didn't bother me at all in Death Stranding. I'm also just going on how long it took me; I did all the optional stuff in the area as well because I was enjoying it. It might be a lot quicker if you just did the required missions.

The last point I'll make is that absolutely nothing about Death Stranding appears to have been designed to 'appeal to the average person'... and that's absolutely fine. Not everything has to be for everybody.

I see some similar criticisms about the Witcher 3, some saying that it takes 20 hours to get going, and some giving up on the griffin and combat in the game. However it’s nothing compared to Red Dead Redemption 2 and the criticisms that game has received, even direct comparisons to Death Stranding.

Was thinking of getting goof war 3 remastered but noticed the non-playstation hit editionbis just £6.99
