Usual blurb below and back in stock for anyone like me who got a PSVR for Xmas

KEY FEATURES:

Ergonomic, intuitive design
Thanks to a lightweight design, built-in vibration function and sphere that’s tracked by the PlayStation®Camera as you move, the controller acts and feels like an extension of your own hand, allowing you to intuitively interact with a game’s virtual environment.

Take total control
On top of its motion-sensing capabilities, the controller features easy-touse button controls – including a large, dedicated trigger and the familiar DUALSHOCK®4 PS and action buttons.

Wide variety of compatible PlayStation®VR games
Combine PlayStation®VR with the motion controller for truly unique experiences – once you slip on the headset, motion controllers in your hands can become anything, from guns and pool cues to your own virtual hands.

Check out the unforgettable virtual experiences of PlayStation® VR Worlds, a terrifying rollercoaster ride in Until Dawn™: Rush of Blood, true-to-life pool in Hustle Kings™ VR and addictive puzzling in Tumble VR.

I'd rather pay £84 at amazon, tbh...
Are they really that expensive?!

I'm no fan of Game either but for £14 less why pay extra?

For that extra money you could buy a couple of VR game's on the PSN sale.
People can vote this cold if they want but it's a high demand product which means you'll be lucky if it's in stock let alone getting this cheaper, I managed to pickup a twin pack a few days before Xmas for £67, grab these from wherever you can

I have been keeping an eye on stock and prices as sold out in most places and this looks like the cheapest place to buy and in stock currently.
Hopefully helps a few people!
Shouldn't be voted cold.. these are currently more precious then gold!! Hardly any stock nationwide.. been looking for past week and finally grabbed a set. Thanks OP
Are these the same as the original ones? If so is there much difference?

Same tech and the old ones work the same, fresh battery is the only argument.

New ones have micro rather than mini usb charge ports so no scrabbling round for ancient cables. Same tech otherwise.
I am slowly getting ready for psvr and wanted to pick some of these up but I've had it with GAME. I have never 'prostested' with my wallet against a company so GAME has the honour. This christmas I was looking to get my older sister who grew up with the 16 bit era a SNES mini so I asked my local GAME via twitter if they had stock, a few hours pass and my response 'is only a few ' so I waddle down to the shop first thing the next morning to be met by a £99.99 price tag. Luckily I waited and as it was a suprise present I got one via the Argos ebay a few days later for £63.99. I know GAME seem to mark up a lot of prices but £20 is atrocious, they really do prey on the average person who has no knowledge of the price of games, peripherals or consoles.

The £20 mark up on that near Christmas was a p*ss take to be honest, they sold thousands of units at £80 then decided to be d*cks just before Christmas.
They had one in the shop window as a "look we have stock, come and get it!" at £99.99 a couple of days before Christmas, I just laughed to myself and walked past.
I have pair of these gathering dust for the last 6 months after I got bored of the PSVR and flogged it. Looks like I should get them onto eBay! Cheers!

You are more likely to receive an email after they took your money stating that they no longer have any stock and will refund your money in 10-14 days. At least with amazon, i'm more likely to receive it the next day. so seeing as i'm not willing to spend £84 on them, i'll just wait for stock to replenish and prices to return to normal.

Do it soon! As soon as shops get more stock (likely to be the v2 versions) prices will drop, especially for the older v1 models.

all stock is "original". the new v2 has not released in UK, yet. Only japan. Only difference then is micro usb instead of mini and a slightly increased battery capacity. Not much in it, but stock shortage has shot the prices up.

It annoyed me so much because I knew I could pay less but to get it for christmas I would have to give them an extra £20. My nephew got a lot of GAME gift cards for christmas this year and when he showed me what he got my blood sarting boiling. The games were all preowned and massively overpriced. He paid full whack for Rocket League, 7 days to die and Bloodborne (bearing in mind he is a 10 year old with learning difficulties). I know I sound like a whiny sod but talk about preying on the innnocent.
Anyone know if these are available in store?
It’s £54 in Argos providing a store near you has stock. That’s a more reasonable price to pay for something that before the VR came out was selling at £10 each!!!
Buy them as individuals on eBay, £15 a piece. For some reason sets of two demand a premium.

Go and have a whinge at them for selling a 10 year old Bloodborne, if you're feeling vengeful.
These still seem to be old stock i.e. mini usb not micro usb & smaller battery not the upgraded bigger one. Not going to pay full RRP for an old version.

Thats what I was eluding to, if I was the person serving his mum I would have explained that its a difficult game and pointed them in the right direction to something more suitable.
I remember buying this for ps3 for around 28 kwid each
Used up.some Xmas vouchers and said bye to Skyrim to pick these up a moment ago. Gave the ps3 ones away years ago - let's see if they're worth the £
Bought some in Farnbrough today and they had 2 packs left! Been hunting high and low for these since Xmas!. Paid £55 as had £15 worth of points 😁

Have you got a link for that? All the moves I'm seeing on eBay are nowhere near that price

They were that price when I got a couple back in November, prices have gone utterly insane since then. Sorry.
