Having tried this PSVR, I was amazed with the head tracking and in-game immersion (especially the GT Sport VR). But the novelty wears off very quickly and you're left with "party game modes" that get very boring very quickly. Not to mention the awful pixelation within the headset itself! As I said, I would wait for a better, improved next gen headset with better games, more support and clearer resolution.

Well you've got to start somewhere. Unless you plan to wait 2 years. It's like computers, you buy a laptop, couple of years later laptop is already outdated. If you go with this analogy you'll never buy a technology product. Life is short. Enjoy while you can. I bought my psvr set (v2) 2 years ago for £260. I don't play it every day but it still impresses me.

Great bundle. Hot.
Not the best price it's been recently ( £189 Amazon EU sites, £209 Game inc Rick & Morty) but by far the best bargain in VR, Hot.
My fave gaming platform of the moment
Switch a close 2nd though
Will this vr kit be compatible with ps5 when it comes out? Any ideas?

Pretty sure it will be. There will be a new VR at some point but Sony have said that there will be nothing until at least 1-2 years after the PS5 release.

Absolutely, I agree with you. If I had the space 2 years ago, I definitely would have bought one (but I lived in basically a shed).

Now I have a bit more space, but after trying it - I don't think there are enough games to make it of any value getting one now.
Where's the best place to sell the vr? Got one for Xmas but makes me bit sick when playing so need to get rid.
Borderlands 2 vr is on sale on the psn for £19.99, and its worth evey penny, only reason i am keeping the pro as i was just about to ditch it, but bl2vr bought ot some time.

Oh and grab a secondhand one from cex for £110, you can check it in store before you buy it and you get a two year warrenty, what is not to like. :-)

I got mine over two years ago and it's still keeping me entertained. There's a lot more out there than just 'party game modes'! I'd suggest trying some more games.
This headset and the current games will also work on the PS5 (with likely improved performance) so it's not a bad option for people who don't want to wait or pay full whack for the next version.
Going up in price, never fallen below £205 in the UK and still going hot at this price. Nonsense.
Bought it for resident evil because people hyped it so much graphics is like the first tomb raider 96 and hurts to watch. Can't wear it for long playing resident evil. but on other games graphics are very good but they are kids party games. So now it's gathering dust.

CEX

Couldn't find the price for the v2 version but thanks will try in the shop.
Recently got psvr. Check out Rec Room if you haven't already. It's a free download and includes a load of free online multiplayer games including VR paintball and laser tag. Brilliant fun!!

They only pay £3 extra over the v1 price so eg boxed V1 is £75 cash, boxed v2 is £78. But they do pay separately for the camera so probably looking at £100 total max at cex for cash

Photo on the box looks like it, the earphones are visible. Plusv1 is unlikely to be in stock as new anywhere, they stopped making it ages ago

Yes!
I'm always really suprised at the amount of people whinging at PSVR, particularly against "pixelation". I've happily watched films (eg Predator 3D) on giant imax screens in there with no issue. The graphics are amazing in some games, but even more simple looking ones (Ultrawings, Battlezone, Rec Room) are brilliant fun. Its flippin' VR, a whole new dynamic of immersion and escapism. Games like BoxVR or Creed offer brilliant workouts as well. Waiting another 2-3 years for an updated model is ludicrous, you could miss some of the most memorable gaming years of your life.
Sony should really be including move controllers with these bundles. How they can justify charging £70 for controllers that came out back in 2009

Seriously folks, please try more games before passing judgement. There are racers, first-person shooters/fighters, platformers, piloting games, puzzlers, RPGs, boxing & other fitness games, strategy games etc.
Wipeout Omega for example looks brilliant and just plays better in VR. RE7 doesn't look as good, but it's still good enough to freak me out while playing.

I couldn't get them new anywhere ended up buying secondhand on eBay £82.90 for 2 delivered with 2 of the PS3 navigation controllers. It's surprising they don't have more new out there.
If anyone's interested can buy mine, its as good as new.. £150.

It's why you should buy desktops so you can simply sell off the old part and get a new one

5.) The PlayStation VR headset will be compatible with the PS5 and, although Cerny would not comment on whether a new PSVR headset was incoming, he did say that "VR is very important to us".

I'd love to see a Snapdragon 835 running RE7
I would advise anyone whining about this deal, you will NOT get a better value for money and decent VR introduction than PSVR. There are several very decent titles u can play for very little dosh if u shop at sales.
Most other VR systems need a mid to high range (expensive) PC to run. This works out of the box with a cheap ps4 and even a kid could set it up in a few minutes

Not out on quest! You can run it wirelessly connected to a PC tho.

I get what your saying, I own psvr but It's only better value if you already own a PS4. If not then occulus quest is better value.
