This will only be valid for the first week of launch which is on the 10th November. I think this is a great deal, I'm going to go for it as the extra 500gb more is worth it alone. Tell me what you think.
Thought I seen it on here ages ago but can't find it so I thought I would post again in case I seen it somewhere else

What about the extra benefits of the PS Pro that you will be getting other than the increased memory?
I think they're just commenting on the OP saying
Which, no, its not.
I won't be going for it as I don't have a 4K TV, and every gaming website has basically said its not really worth it if you don't have one. I won't be getting one any time soon, so I won't be getting this or Project Scorpio.
Yeah I know but I don't want external Hardrives
its not external
I mean chublet when he commented about him fitting a 2tb drive
I had a 1.5tb PS4 when the PS4 launched, cos I popped a 1.5tb drive in. It's dead easy and doesn't effect the warranty.
I've preordered the Pro for £300 from Tesco (misprice they've now increased). I'm selling my old PS4 for £170 and I've ordered a 2tb Harddrive for the Pro for £63 (comes as an external, I'll keep the case).
So, I'll upgrade to a new 2tb PS4 Pro for £193. I'll also have a 1tb external harddrive from the Pro inside the external case to use for stuff. Roll on November.
I probably wouldn't have bothered with the Pro, but I've got PSVR and it seems like it'll be worth it for that.
You can fit a new internal harddrive easily, but you have to get a one that fits. No thicker than 9.5mm.
even without a 4k tv it will give you stable 60fps/1080p on a lot of games which is the main reason im getting it, i doubt we will see good frame-rates with its specs at 4k unless it on older or undemanding game if want 4k gaming and don't want or care for a pc Scorpio is the way to go
Out of interest which drive did you get as I'm looking at doing the same. Thanks.
I think this is def the way to go:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00TKFEE5S/ref=pe_385721_51767431_TE_dp_1
It's 2tb, inside it's actually a Samsung Spinpoint, which is very classy.
The bonus with this system of course is that you can pop the old harddrive into this case and use it as an external.
I did look at SSD, but I really need space and don't need the increased loading time. I'm from the generation of waiting 20mins for cassettes to load, I'm literally immune to PS4 load screens. Space, however, I really need.
Thanks, that is the one I was looking at as well but it's nice to know that it's what others would choose as well. Thanks again.
Which gaming websites? 1080p gaming benefits from the hardware as well, from improved graphics and framerate or crystal clear image quality (after downsampling an 1800p render).
PS4 Pro won't sell masses at launch, because many PS4 users won't want to upgrade and most people who didn't already have one will but the slim/1tb option for cost.
I can see SONY trying to get more people to upgrade in the new year, without dropping the price significently, so they'll have to add numerous bonuses and "Pro only" content to games. I think there'll be a lot of Pro-only stuff in 2017.
excately not heard of one website saying that, they all say it will give 60fps for 1080p but many doubt it can handle 4k
There has to be Pro modes on all games from November onwards. The leaked dev documentatio stated this as part of the certification process. So, unless the date to implement that part of the certification has been pushed back, there's gonna be a wealth of Pro mode games by the time the year is out.
It's no "pro mode", they just need to support the pro, which literally mean that it works on both system, they don't have to enhance anything, it juts need to work normal.
Only issue I got is my light bar on my controller doesn't work, so when trading into Game they may refuse my controller.
Also, is the ps4 pro and ps4 standard hdd the same size? I got a 2tb drive currently in my system.
Eurogamer said it wasn't worth it. Some games are getting 1080p/60fps improvements, but not all by any means.
Yeah, but I think that'll be added to. I think we expect there to be better graphics modes. I can see SONY encouraging extra DLC and extra content for Pro users.
I did the same as you, looked at SSD but the difference was not worth it for the trade off of more space.
Developers are not allowed to wall off extra content or DLC for pro users - the only ever difference will be graphical fidelity (which again is not mandatory - games just have to at least work on both systems)
All I'm saying is... I can see that changing.
I think you are assuming a lot.
The devs will be the decision makers and they will go for the marketing spiel of 4k (Although it is not native 4k) and they will leave the 1080p owners at sea. Yes a few devs will improve the game for the 1080p owners but you just know the majority won't as they won't wanna double their workload.
>< Didn't read the "and 5 games" ok I'm out.
And non of them can be previous sports games. So no Fifa 15,14,13 etc.
...and I reckon you can get £170 for a PS4 on eBay, without any games. Yeah, there's fees to pay but not 5 PS4 games worth.
Your basically buying ps pro at full price after trading in your ps4 & 5 ( probably high end games )
Typical game con if you ask me
I had a feeling the deal was to good to be true. The picture didn't want to enlarge for me on my phone till I force closed the app and checked shortly after.
Didn't need a ps4 pro anyways
with one exception. your ps4 pro order may get cancelled just before it's premiere.
Not gonna happen. If it does, I'll get one for £335. No bother.
Er, no. Devs have to specifically enable Pro features in order for their game to utilise it. Thus Pro mode. Cerny and Sony made sure that the enhancements that can be made be as effortless as possible and for an example they said the Pro enhancements for Day's Gone was done by a single programmer.
Anyway, in the leaked dev docs, Sony had a requirement that post October all new games must support Pro, albeit it can be done via patch so devs don't have to reshuffle their schedules too much. However, from start of 2017 onwards the Pro mode must be included on the disc. No patches.
The one i got was...

I'm in the same position as you, getting the pro wish to sell my old ps4, out of interest where did you get the 170 price from. Don't know best place to sell or if prices are going to plummet as lots of ps4s hit the market. Any advice?
Selling it to a Mate. It's a great deal for him and me, because it's a mint condition PS4 with a 1.5tb harddrive. I get rid with no seller fees or postage, and he gets a very decent priced PS4 with a big harddrive.
