I didn't know these things existed...
You clip on a little pad to the underside of the controller and plug in a micro USB cable.
You can then place the DS4 on the mat and it'll charge.
After doing a little research, it seems most people are happy with the pad and adapters but it looks like they've gone out of production.
According to some, the mat charges QI compatible phones too - I can't confirm though.
Not expecting much heat as it's not stupidly cheap but it might help a few
Use the code "VC5" in the basket to get it at this price.

There is no repeated plugging and unplugging of USB cables which could damage the ports etc. Plus if my sons level of lethargy and apathy to actually charging things instead of nicking mine is anything to go by, this is a global problem that needs to be addressed!
Sony do one?
This thing says "official" but it's made under license.
Is it the same thing you've seen at Game?
No, it was sony's own dualshock charging dock. Would have been cool if they had made an charging matt themselves.
Not to say that this thing is particularly worth the money but it's a bit more complicated than a bit of plastic moulding and extension wire. I don't think I'd pay more than a fiver for the physical docks, official or not... but that the HUKDer in me
