'The glitz, glamour, and unbridled decadence of the 80s are back in Yakuza 0. Fight like hell through Tokyo and Osaka with protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and series regular Goro Majima. Play as Kazuma Kiryu and discover how he finds himself in a world of trouble when a simple debt collection goes wrong and his mark winds up murdered. Then, step into the silver-toed shoes of Goro Majima and explore his “normal” life as the proprietor of a cabaret club.

Switch between three different fighting styles instantaneously and beat up all manner of goons, thugs, hoodlums, and lowlifes. Take combat up a notch by using environmental objects such as bicycles, sign posts, and car doors for bone-crunching combos and savage take-downs.

Fighting is not the only way to kill time in 1988’s Japan: from discos and hostess clubs to classic SEGA arcades, there are tons of distractions to pursue in the richly detailed, neon-lit world.

Good deal, although I'm on the lookout for a physical copy
What's this game like? It looks like a cross between a Shenmue brawls and The Sims - interested!
And is it best to go through these games in order i.e. is the story continuous?
Is this better than sleeping dogs?
Brilliant game

Gonna grab free on xb next Yr too

Imo Yes but is more a brawler, you don't drive or use guns in yakuza games
Had £9 spare on PSN, went to buy it... already own it

I second this comment. People rave about the series. It sounds like one I would enjoy, I won't jump in on an old OG version from when the series began.
Can I jump in, sight unseen and enjoy this?

Because I'd like to.

Kind of like Japanese gta except there's no cars, a ton of fun mini games and most of the combat is brawling. The story is fantastic with many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story is kind of continued in that characters will pop up from previous games but each game has a standalone focused narrative. Zero is the perfect place to start. Oh it also has thst crazy Japanese humour which is well written into quests and dialogue
This is coming to Xbox game pass guys.
Best game

yeah its better, think of a well wrote story with the fun of random stuff to do inbetween and loads of fights and over the top fun. its a bit like shenmue too where you can go to the arcade and play old arcade games within the game etc
If you're even slightly tempted, get it. It's brilliant and I don't think a game has ever made me laugh as much as this one.
