Quality doner, but amount of meat varies depending on branch. The worst is in Canary Wharf London. They consistently deliver the least amount of meat. l

Have to agree - wanted a hot sandwich at lunch and decided to give it a try.
Really bland and fake meat taste and feel - never again.

do you need to be drunk to buy these or are they ok ?
    abigsmurf's avatar
They're a lot less greasy than typical doners and they're served in something closer to bread than a pita. You also tend to get less meat in them

How much is a main normally. Can't really see it on their site!

    Between £7.5-8.5

That's all it's worth. More salad than meat .
    zdzd's avatar
Trick is ask for salad separate. Then they can't rip you off as it's too obvious.

The spring rolls are the best thing on the menu

    No Lamb kebabs.... I'm out!

You’ve just ruined one of my favourite takeaways :-(

Raw chicken and bones in the beef.
    lucky_rio's avatar
Raw chicken but cooked beef? That's strange. I can deal with the bones, its the mashed up ears, feet, tongue, hooves etc that I struggle with

I got food poisoning from GDK. Bad enough to need 5 days in hospital. Will never set foot in any of them again.

Wouldn't pay a fiver for their meals to be honest. Had the displeasure of trying their food twice - would never go back

overpriced and very small portions. been there twice - once to try and second time when work colleagues wanted to try. both times terrible so never again. Just google highest rated local kebabs near you

I'm waiting on the voucher for Turkish Bratwurst.

Gutted I didn’t know about this deal earlier on in the month

They have special ingredient for their salad. Worst palm oil.
    ASongOfIceandFire's avatar
There is worse things than palm oil

Had numerous meals from here. Greedy with meat but it's like a posh kebab if.youve never tried them before.

Overpriced small portions and under cooked, other than that it’s pretty good

Lot of people's saying they not getting enough meat (be it chicken, beef or a bit of both) but in my local one they overflow it with meat but...you can never get away from the salad, even if you don't want it they'll put it into a little side bag

Very surprised by the comments, was always excellent for me in the Coventry branch. They put so much meat I was actually wishing for more salad.

I missed the bogof deal. I might be in a minority but I really like GDK
    PoundsEurosDollars's avatar
That makes us a minority of at least 2

If you're in a decent-sized city you can get way better and more authentic kebabs than these. In Glasgow past few years loads of places have popped up that give you way more (and possibly higher quality) meat, the fladenbrot is better too.

They list the nutritional info, so shouldn’t be as much variation as people are claiming on here.

If you believe they are cheating you report them to trading standards.

It’s ok, but nothing special at £5 IMO. I grabbed it a few times when they did BOGOF Tuesday, at £6.99 for two, it was ok if I was short of protein for the day.

Annoying that they don’t count their meat/salad boxes as a main. Those I would have been happier with for the price.

Really poor quality food. Don’t do it!
    Weehamish's avatar
It's a kebab son lol it's all poor quality

I always find it odd that we find kebabs in the late night market.

I once went to Germany to meet a colleague and he took me out for lunch and he said do you like Turkish food and he took me to a kebab shop. He thought nothing of it.

I was also in New Zealand. And they also have kebabs for lunch. They even spin it as being healthy as its grilles cuts of meat.

Reading all of the above has made me certain to stick with Flames in Romford
    Thanks all

Where abouts is it ? I’d love to try it.

Just had mine, all the comments here are right on the money, Berlin strasse beef wrap was mostly chips inside, barely any meat, whatever it was - the spring rolls were better at 99p for 2 (edited)
