It's a good price however I would be hesitant picking up something like this used when the battery is notably not great even when brand new, and IIRC it's also a controller that get drift (I've not experienced it but my daughter's Switch controller has terrible drift).

Personally I'd probably opt to pay £20 more and get one brand new.

Stick drift in boxers is something VERY different...

Unless they've changed the insides recently, I would steer clear of a pre-owned dualsense. New ones I've had have broken down very quickly so I'd hate to think what a pre-owned one is like (edited)

Still got my white dualsense after 8 months of frequent play and a few accidental drops, guess I'm the lucky one.

as far as i know, they don't really test the stick drift issue, or let's say they do test it but with a high level of deadzone tolerance .

if you play FPS shooter games with low deadzone setting (<=4%/0.04), these pre-owned controllers would be pure lottery purcahses.

if you opt in for a used controller, better check out listings on eBay with stick drift/deadzone knowledge in the description, also it will be great if the seller did hygiene cleaning before selling it to you. (edited)

Risky gamble, Facebook Marketplace, Buy Local and send to Sony for Replacement. I was lucky to snag one for £15 with left stick drag, the replacement took 20 days between sending and recieving.

Black has been fine for me but I know 3 people whose launch controllers got stick drift after a few weeks. Mine had it brand new out of the box.

This is supercold for me . The controller which came with the console lasted me 9 days, the triangle button kept sticking, sent it to Sony and they have sent me back a different one. I also have a light blue controller, that has problems sometimes with the R buttons. My pink and dark red controllers work perfectly for over a year now.
My point is,even though this is cheap,go with a brand new one .

Battery wouldn't be an issue too much with these to be honest, but stick drift is definitely an issue. I've repaired four controllers with it, mine and friends. Always seems to be the right stick. It's fairly simple to do if you're comfortable taking the controller apart and have some isopropyl alcohol available but still, I wouldn't want to be spending this money on something that I might have to repair when new is only a few pounds more. If it was £20 then maybe.

These barely work when new, used will probably have more defects.

I’ve had to return 5 controllers for various reasons. It’s ridiculous how badly made these are.

    Problems I’ve had:

    Drift
    Loose triggers
    Faulty vibration motor

I had my PS5 since Dec 2021 no drift stick issue on both this and black but apparently I had revised model PS5 so this might be why. I play maybe 6 hours a week though.

Buy from Cex, they have a 24 month warranty and accept stick drift returns. Which will be used at some point. Guaranteed.

It's £49.95 at Cex for a used pad though. I often buy from Cex and recommend them, but that's too expensive.
    Edit- including delivery. (edited)

They are prone to drift, I've had 2 repair for this already. Depending on how much you play, it can happen within a year of using them. Otherwise I would consider this.
