Nice find mate,

Mike..

Yes, strange.
]Black one £4.99 if no stock of white.

Cheers OP, nice find...I see Argos are doing the BLACK one for £4.99

It says plug into headphone port, does that mean it could work with other headphone ported devices?

Although this states not compatible with PSP slim & lite, surely it would work fine with a male to female 3.5" jack lead such as this http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/316Y1TMX43L._AA280_.jpg

This is just a fm transmitter after all the same as any other except designed to fit flush on a PSP, no reason why with one of these adaptors it couldnt be utilised with any mp3 player, PSP lite or whatever device that has a 3.5" jack output., voted hot for price. Although a lot of fm transmitters can be picked up on Ebay for a fiver posted, if you dont have a PSP and want something that doesnt look like its designed for a PSP and have to buy one of these leads on top.

I reserved a black one before christmas when it was half price at £7.49. Didin't get around to getting it and went to get one a few days after christmas and it had gone back up to £14.99 so I deceded against it.

Saw last night that it had gone back done even further and reserved one. Will be picking it up tonight.

How are they powered? From the PSP or using an AA or AAA battery?

Thanks! Voted hot and reserved for pickup at Colliers Wood Argos.

they are powered off the psp so dont go buying one to use it wtih anything else other than a psp

looks like a load of tosh to me, there's generic ones (yep that small too) that work with ANY device that has a 3.5mm jack (including the PSP AND the PSP lite)....and so forth...

They go for a fiver though generally, so kinda a good deal....depends if you like your gimmicks

Thats why its pants, the generic ones are powered by batteries that last ages anyway, or a cigarette lighter socket etc.

EDIT - In face, it being powered by the PSP is a disadvantage....

How long does the PSP battery last again playing mp3\aac tracks from a memory stick?

5-6 hours?...with this thing added?....

4?

how many hours do you need! Most people will be using this in their cars, and you can get an in car charger for the psp.

Powered by the PSP is much better than being powered by battery, the PSP battery is big and powerful, how long is a weedy little AAA battery going to last, lucky to get those 4 hours

^And not only that but you can purchase psp batterys which last over 12hrs.

Just picked up mine from Argos, they dont look that bad, and for £2.49 I can live with it being powered off the PSP.

Mike..

Got mine aswell, however the LCD display is seriously f**ked. :whistling:

I got one for the kids works great well worth £2.49. They will only work with PSP as they have no battery and the power connection is specific to the PSP as well as being too close to get the conector over the plug.

Still around with stock @ selected stores

Random stock... thanks for the pointer sarbjeet_

Argos don't have them listed anymore! Why? Easy, I've tried 5 and all have failed. Lucky you if you've got one that works, keep your fingers crossed it lasts. Argos are punting them cheap for a reason, they are fed up with returns and have realised they are pants. If it's too good to be true it's usually for a reason.
Have had the same experience with Maplin recently. Another dispenser of good sounding affordable technology that in reality is, again, pants.
Chin chin.

why is it that its not compatable with psp lite? i cant see why there wud be a problem...i really want one for my psp lite

ive also just looked for the docking station which is also not compatable? is there anything that is compatable with the lite version!!!
