£20 voucher if you go through Vouchercodes.
I only recently bought the PSVR, typical that it comes down in price straight after. Would recommend it though, it's awesome.
Hi is it vr2? Thanks

It doesn't say.
The pack with VR Worlds is V2
If you get this, you HAVE to get Star Trek Bridge Command
Confirmed via web chat - this is not V2 stock. None of their stock is V2 according to who I spoke to.

V2 all the way only buy v1 if you have no plans on getting a 4k TV and don't mind wires

HDR passthrough - you previously had to bypass the box on the v1 if you wanted to see HDR content on your TV

Changed position of cable to the back from out of the side of the visor and made the cable thinner/lighter

Integrated headphone jack - previously there was a headphone box along the cable. It's now integrated into the headset.

Those are the main things I think.

It's very obfuscatory / deceptive that these retailers are not explicitly stating which version of the headset they're offering.
If you have PS4 Pro don't even bother with V1 PSVR!

I agree. I want to buy one but I don't want to end up with a v1. Game seem to be one of the only retailers to specify if v1 or V2.

I don't understand how it's allowed that they don't have to make it explicit what version they are selling. As soon as they change the features it's not the same product anymore, but they treat it as though it's just got a firmware update pre-installed or some other negligible change that doesn't change the product. Same stuff going on with the actual consoles as well.

V1 works perfectly well with a 4k TV, the only thing it doesn't do is HDR pass though! Still the same number of wires too.

Makes absolutely no difference whatsoever!

If v1 doesn't pass through HDR, it makes a material difference.

Not all 4k TVs have HDR, and not all 4k TVs that do makes any real difference to picture quality. It takes 2 seconds to swap the HDMI lead if you want to view HDR content, you DO NOT need a V2.
I got one yesterday from Curry’s Highgate Birmingham. V2 for sure. The box has a window and you can see what version it is before purchase. If it was V1 I wouldn’t of purchased it, and happily told the shop staff why. No biggie, don’t imagine they would care less either way.

I have a TV with great HDR and I certainly don't want to be swapping cables. So for me, it makes a difference.

For most people, no.
If it doesn't matter whether v1 or v2 then why bother developing a v2

If you have a ps4 pro like me you must also be a technophile like me? Not sure why else you'd reply to my post.

Why would you have a 4K non-HDR TV, then plug it into a PS4 Pro?
Wouldn't it drive you nuts fiddling under your TV, unplugging HDMI cables constantly? Certainly takes more than 2 seconds.

Not really sure why you're saying it makes no difference?

Maybe you've not seen HDR source material vs SDR source material. HDR games on PS4 Pro look sublime and v2 PSVR has lots of improvements over v1.

I bought a Pro on Launch day, I also got the VR on launch day, I also have a LG 4k TV that isnt HDR but did cost £1300 when I bought it 3 years ago. I don't go crawling under my TV as my Pro is on a side stand at the side.of said TV.

I've seen HDR content, I've also seen HDR content on a OLED TV costing over £2k HDR on a £500 set doesn't compare and nor does the picture quality compared to my non HDR 4k TV.

I don't know what bull you've read about V2 but it hasn't lots of improvement, its had some small design changes and they fixed the HDR issue which doesn't affect the VR headset in any way whatsoever.

You absolutely do not need the V2 if you have a Pro!

Cheaper manufacturing, like Sony always do!

If you have a ps4 pro and 4k tv you go for v2 all day. Even if you don't you go v2 I see no reason to get v1 over a v2 unless the price is significantly lower.

I don't know about cheaper manufacturing maybe you do but what I do know is if I can get the newer model for the same price as the older one i know which one I would go for every day of the week.
i sold my v1 and bought a v2, as the hassle of swapping the HDMI cable all the time was getting tedious for me, i also like the thinner cable it has, and the control unit that was attached to the cable on the v1 used to get in the way somewhat.

having said that, if you can get the v1 significantly cheaper than the v2, then great. but if they are the same price, then you take the v2 everytime
I had a go on one of these yesterday at insomnia gaming festival, felt ill quite quickly, my son enjoyed it though.

You have to start off with a less intense game and ease yourself in
I tried some zombie thing, it looked good but I very quickly started feeling ill, not what I would call particularly intense. Unfortunately it took me a while to feel fully better again.
