Exactly. It could be glandular.

And they say the camera adds 10 pounds - he may have had 30 for breakfast.

I may as well try one

hot from me cheers xxx

slightly off pic, anyone know where tt get a cheese and onion pie??? (not pastie) cants seem to find them for sales anywhere in the Cambridgeshire area, regardless of store....any help would be greatly appreciated.

calorific, but the chicken and mushroom ones are the best.

ok im american and dont know what these things are is it chopped meat in pastry or like a patty of meat please some one explain?

wouldn't even feed these to my dog, they are REVOLTING and most definitely not worth £1 let alone what they were before!

Yes, its chopped meat in a stock gravy if its beef, and a white sauce if its the chicken variety. encased totally in pastry....slightly greasy, very calorific and very tasty.

Nothing like a patty as its not ground unless you have a pie that has minced (ground) beef filling, some cheaper pies do, better quality ones have chunks of meat..i think that Pukka pies beef and onion variety tend to be cheaper like this and have ground beef, the steak pies would have lumps of steak in, the steak and kidney obviously has steak and kidney (offal meat, strong tasting, acquired taste) and the chicken and mushroom has cubes of chicken meat and mushrooms in a peppered white sauce.

Generally better not to ask. Bit like McD, etc., just enjoy without the guilt that would inevitably come from knowledge!

A No Prize to the first person who can find me meat and potato Pukka Pies - AT ANY PRICE !

Very bad for you, these.

I'd guess they'll have about 35g of fat (40% of your RDA) and about 600 calories per pie.

Awful, just awful.

Taste excellent and served in all good CHIPPIES!! :-D
Usually around £1.80.
Normal price in retail stores is around £1.30-£1.40.

NOTE: Somerfield are doing them for £1.00 also. My fave is all steak!

I haven't tried these but when I buy pies it seems to be all pastry.

Yep, very rarely some people do have a gland condition but 95% of fat people who are grossly obese are just lazy and have a bad diet, I know this may seem harsh but it is a fact no one goes to bed one night and wakes up fat, it takes years to put on so much weight.

The worst pies I have had are the Marks and Spencers ones. Not only did they cost a lot more but they tasted very salty.

Pukka Pies have a deeper filling than Ginsters and the pastry is far softer.

Wasnt Lee Harvey Oswald one of those?

I'm quite a serious athlete and even I have to testify, these pies taste fantastic!

Nice oven cooked (nice and flaky) terrible if they are microwaved like, most chippies tend to cook them!

I tell you what if I wanted advice on what I was eating I'd call the health police I hate comments like this on all these kind of threads that bear no relation to the acctual deal.

As part of a balanced diet these are allowed you know.

That's not bad if you have it as your main meal with some Veg, breakfast generally has a small percentage of your RDA of fat and lunch can be light on fat too. It's all about moderation, stop being such a health Nazi!

So what! Fat is not bad for you unless you eat to much of it. One of these with a portion of chips and Mushy peas and a load of salt - delicious.
