Down from £80 and available in most sizes these Puma trekking hiker mid boots are the perfect shoes for cold temperatures and wintry weather as well has warm temperatures. These Puma hiking boots looks, and feels, great with its leather upper, its reinforced outer-sole and its padding around the ankles.

As they are lightweight, you will not even realize you are wearing actual hiking boots! With the Puma logo on the front in embroidery and the Storm Cell tag on the size and the Puma signature logo on both sides. It also features a stylish rubber outsole which is again very comfortable and promotes traction for durability and grip. These trekking boots are great for walking and they very convenient as they are also waterproof.

This is finished off with pull tab to make ensure easy on and off access with the entire boot looking vintage and rugged whilst ensuring ultra comfort with the Eco-Ortholite sole

Look a good deal but the commentary is appalling, they highlight the stormcell tag on the side but no information on this technology, and they very convenient as they are also waterproof..
Will try and find a better description

Features: Designed for light hiking stormCELL FORCE 1 water-resistant oiled leather and textile upper Abrasion-resistant nylon tech-mesh tongue and collar Rope lacing system with metal eyelets Antimicrobial OrthoLite® sockliner for fit and comfort IdCELL technology for cushioning Rugged rubber outsole for protection and durability

I just made a silly comment and then deleted it. Shame on me. Good deal! Heat added

From what I can see they are Storm Cell Force 1 which from Puma's description:

Pretty Waterproof. Water Column: 1500 mm to 5000 mm; Wind Proof Level: ≤ 10 mm/sec (ISO 9237); Breathability: ≥ 3000 g/m²/24h JIS A1

and here they are on the Puma site with some reviews… http://www.shop-eu.puma.com/Men's-Silicis-Winter-Boots/304278,en,pd.html

The way I check to see if my stuff is waterproof is to stick them in a bucket of water. Dry = waterproof. Wet = not. Plus I don't have to pretend I know all the technical scientific babble when in fact I know jack s**t. Ah the insecurity of it all. I do like these boots and I am going to buy a pair. Hope I don't have to sit a science exam to qualify for purchase.

somebody posted a link where the item was approx £5 cheaper I think, maybe i'm on the wrong page but can anyone advise if they saw this? May be wrong, Good deal o/p!!

Based on what i have read on the reviews these seem to be on the cheaper side for trekking and more for the general walk outside to your local shop when it does not rain

Not necessarily, I had bought Timberlands claiming to be waterproof and feet got wet in drizzling rain walk and I returned them to their store for full refund.
