Just looking for some advice... would these be any good for the occasional jog and football kick around?

I guess they are fine for football as they are astro turf trainers... but wondered if they would be suitable for jogging in?

also just noticed when I add it to my basket it comes up as £24.89??

I personally wouldn't do any distance running in them, certainly not on the road or hard surfaces due to the risk of injury due to lack of cushioning and support provided by running shoes. They'd be fine though to jog around the pitch a couple of times before the game as a warm up.

I'm trying to find out if they're leather?

I have a pair as Golf Shoes and the odd waste of a good walk...

HI i think the vkons astroturfs are synthetic leather. Personally I find the s.leather very stiff but depends on personal preference I guess. I wouldn't have thought they would be suited to running on hard surfaces. The new Umbro boots (Speciali or above) are probably cheaper and better.

There aren't alot of real leather astroturf boots out there. Off the top of my head: Nike Mystic, Nike CTR360 series (libretto, trequartisa), Adidas Predator X absolado, Adidas Predator Absolion, Puma King(s). Hope this helps.

Cushioned running shoes have a greater risk from the impact of striking the ground than running barefoot!

^^^^however proper running shoes help with the biomechanics of long distance running as we as humans were never meant to walk on flat surfaces.....pesky romans. Also football boots with moulded studs as usually the choice for players on astro due to the improved grip.

Thanks - bought, fine for the holidays.

good price until you check out goes up by another £5...?!!?
