I bought mine at tesco this week and put in the garage as the best before date was 7/11/14. hopefully still be ok to carve in a few days.

tbh i never thought to look for a best before date on a pumpkin!
hmm cheers, may get the 2 for 3 thing then as the 3quid each ones weren't that much bigger

Not forgetting that topcashback will 'refund' you the price of your pumpkin

they are £1 EACH not per kilo, surely even a small one weighs more than a kilo

Only had the small pumpkins at my local.

£2.79 for huge ones today in Costco

Mmmmm, time for pumpkin soup!! Yummy but gives me horrendous gas unfortunately!

when they sell them for 5p after Halloween that really tells you how much they should cost!

TBH there has been a real problem with seed for pumpkins this year, seed merchants been getting it in the ear.

much testing, inconclusive, as local to me 1/3 of seed failed totally with 1/3 looking dodgy & the remaining 1/3 ok as should be.

As ever find a local pumpkin farmer (squash season too right now) & for £3.00 you can have something truly decent.
the ones that are a £1 or less are 50 at the farmers gate. & better preserved, the stacking process in shop crates (supermarkets shear the stem off too close which speeds deterioration) , ...stupid supermarkets, waste is tragic.

Luckily local to me I only have to choose from pumpkins that weigh 10kg & upward, (typical size is 42lb) ...makes for good carving & eating.

Good stencil site here, throw him a few bucks to say thankyou

great price

My local tesco is £3 each
Was in watitrose & surprised that they was £2 in there.

Kinda bad of tesco taking advantage of Parents - lets be honest, what else are pumpkins really used for?

Morrisons 99p

hot - for all the sad goons that celebrate halloween

Was your Tesco an express or metro? 2 for £3 at my local extra store. What do you mean by taking advantage? Use insides for soup and pumpkin pie.

Also my local Lidl had this offer, but very small pumpkins - harder to carve designs in. Saying that, as a kid, I remember parents getting turnips /swede instead as I think pumpkins were not commonly available!

Some huge ones in the coop 2 for £3

the ones in costco the other day were small for £2.50 ..google your local pumpkin farmer via big barn or similar.

you can get a free pumpkin if you're a mail points collector.
