Turn up late, wait ages for a crap tree, forget to use voucher, profit.
turn up early on 21st Nov,
purchase crap tree,
wake up to a living room carpeted in brown needles around 5th Dec,
attempt to cut tree into pieces with the tiny saw on your old swiss army knife and jam it into wafer-thin black bin bags,
leave further trail of brown needles from living room to bins area,
trawl the streets in pelting sleet looking for another tree,
buy one for £50 from dodgy looking bloke at a pop-up Xmas tree street corner shop,
console yourself by wrapping £20 IKEA voucher and placing it under your new tree

HAPPY CHRISTMAS
who wants to go into the yearly sweakstake of how many times this will be posted and deleted, because its a duplicate in the next two months, I go for 112 times

We have always found them to be excellent. Have usually bought at end of Nov and left outside in water for 2 weeks prior to bringing into the house.

We have a wood burning stove in our living room where the tree is sat, never had any more issues with an ikea tree than the others from much more expensive places. Important to keep checking the water level in the stand every couple of days.

Had these trees for the last 4 years, slightly more expensive this year at £29 instead of £25 with same £20 voucher.

Thanks, was just on this
This is actually a net increase of 80% (from £5 to £9 after factoring in the voucher).

Disappointing.
Last year in Cardiff they included the £24 trees, and did an offer one week ( about 2 weeks before Christmas ) of £6 off the tree so it was buy a tree for £18 get £20 voucher
80% increase on last year's after-voucher price!?
Slightly too early

Its our year off this year, decided we would miss an Xmas every 3 years, saves a ton of cash. Family hate it but its my house my rules
Never again, rubbish trees and the price has gone up, used to be £25 get £20 back
I picked up one from Wickes last year after somebody on this site recommended going there - it was the best real tree that I have ever bought, and, if they have them this year, I will try to get another one.
£25 last year, my tree was awesome.
I see the spirit of ‘ be miserable at Christmas ‘ is here early !
Price increase...

Cardiff had great trees for the last 2 years but keep the voucher in the car and don’t forget to use it like I did for the past 2 years lol

Wishing you a happy..... winter.
They are not proper Christmas trees. They are not pine or fir related. They have no resinous smell and wilt and turn yellow easily.

Yes, these are. Had some previous years.
Picked up a six footer (tree, not person) yesterday from Lakeside.
It still has its needles on a day later, so I'm hoping that's a good sign.
Plenty of choice too.
So, I'm happy at the moment.
